Nice. Last year I bought the 10" version used for vey cheap: it's awesome! It favorably compares to my Fender EC Vibro-Champ, just SLIGHTLY cheaper sounding, but just an hair...I'm impressed!

I tried and EC Vibro Champ once when I went to the Fender factory and it was great! Pretty expensive though. Thanks for watching.

This is basically the normal channel on a Vox AC15/30? I have the other version in a 10” combo. Sounds huge!

I think the bigger ones sound more refined. The AC4TV has a raw sound, which has its charm. The 10 inch version is great, I think it's the most popular. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this video! I just picked one up. Any pedals in particular do you like with it?
@hermeticbasementstudiosinc49042 жыл бұрын
Well, since it does not have an effects loop, it gets muddy with reverb and delay. I love using a Univibe with it though! For overdrive, I prefer Klon style pedals than TS-style. I've been using a Way Huge Conspiracy Theory. Thanks for watching.

@@hermeticbasementstudiosinc4904 Great info, I like it a lot but I may upgrade to one of it's bigger siblings. It has a bit of noise on the 4 watt mode, is yours the same? Maybe it's sensitive to "dirty power" in my building
@hermeticbasementstudiosinc49042 жыл бұрын
@@sboistan You don't necessarily have to buy a bigger one... it has an output for an external cabinet, so you can run straight into a 4x12 if you want! I actually have the 1x12 cab Vox released specifically for this amp (it's called V112TV). I didn't use it for this video, but it makes a world of difference to the sound. You can use any cab, as long as it's 16 ohm. As for the noise, I haven't had any problems with mine. I'm even using a noisy telecaster in this video and it's under control. You're right, it might be something in your building wiring.

@@hermeticbasementstudiosinc4904 Nah, it doesn't get muddy with ambient effects: just keep the level\mix low and you'll be fine! My 10" actually sounds awesome with reverb and delay: very Pink Floyd\U2-ish...
@hermeticbasementstudiosinc49042 жыл бұрын
@@mrkite89 Yeah, I mean it gets muddy compared to amps that have an effects loop, because with those you can turn the mix up as much as you want! But it will sound good with any pedal if you take the time to tweak it.

Nice sounding! Do you think it could be used for a small gig? Does it handle itself well against a drummer?
@hermeticbasementstudiosinc49042 жыл бұрын
It's tricky. On its own, with the 6.5 inch speaker, i doubt it. Even if you get enough volume, the tone would get too fizzy. With an extension cab, I think you can play with a drummer but maybe you won't be able to get a clean sound. Thanks for watching!
@mrkite892 жыл бұрын
The 10" version could be loud enough for a blues jam, if you're ok with a slightly dirty tone. Use an external efficient cab for more volume and\or a cleaner tone: you can easily add >6dB that is a lot, even without bringing your 4x12... p.s. There's also the head and cab version with a 1x12 Celestion Seventy 80 IIRC!
