Hey Rez, this is a shot in the dark but I figured I'll ask. Any plans on creating a course which utilises a live action actor in front of a green screen, and integrates it with CG? So far your stuff has 3D models, but when I first set out to do this stuff my desire was to do all the stuff you're doing especially in this video but with live actors. Even if it's one course, in the next year or two, would be interesting to see. I'm kind of taking a backseat from CG for the time being, but I'd consider taking such a course if you ever happen to make one. Great to see high quality stuff nonetheless! Best Dejen

hi there! maybe i would buy this course today or tomorrow by another name. btw after i get this course, plan to learn your beginner course first. but i get struggled to decide computer spec. do you have any recommendations on pc spec? or could you share your spec? maybe it seems amd 7950X and 128GB RAM are standard but idk well..

It's definitely good to have a strong PC, but you can still use Houdini with a less powerful setup. The simulations we're doing are not really that heavy, and you can always just simulate at a lower resolution if you want speed. For example instead of using 5 mil points you can use 1 mil. and still get a good result. If you are a complete beginner however try doing the beginner section first. This workshop is designed for intermediates with at least 3 months experience

@@blizzsoft5910 Yeah it makes sense then! This current price is probably the lowest it will ever be. In general FLIP is quite computation heavy so there you might need a more beefy CPU. Generally you should look for CPU's that have more cores/threads as most processes in Houdini are multi-threaded. The 7950X is definitely good enough and a perfect mid tier CPU to start the journey. Couple this with 64 GB RAM and it should be good for a lot of stuff. Later for super heavy sims you will need 128 GB and something with more threads. At that point you are doing this professionally though so it makes sense to upgrade.

Hey there I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. It's more geared towards intermediates. Take a look first at the Beginner section on my website and start there. There's also some free courses that you can enroll which will give you a good idea on the level required
