Im heading up there in august for the first time ever. its big water, what did you do to figure out to know where to start fishing for the eyes?

The first thing we did was buy a Fishing Hot Spots Map and read up a bit on some of the different areas and patterns that produce fish. We tried a few of those areas and then we branched out and just started trolling and drifting along some of the islands/shorelines while looking for weed lines. Lastly, we looked for what other boats were doing and what kinds of places they were fishing. The first couple of years that we went up there were kind of tough, but after you put a few fish in the boat in a few different areas, they tended to produce year after year. There's definitely a bit of a learning curve, but once you get it figured out, it's worth it. Thanks for watching!

The surf and turf was delicious; just the right mixture! There is something to be said about sitting in the woods and doing some paperwork too! This trip was booked about two months ago, so it was slim pickings. That's why we had to switch camping spots as you will see in an upcoming video.
