As Americans we are truly blessed to have these two powerful and principled women on the same stage together. And as was said, we as Americans have more in common with each other than divides us. When I learned that Kamala Harris was taking over the Democrat ticket, my first thought was I hope that she chooses Liz Cheney as her VP running mate. That didn't happen, but maybe Rep. Liz Cheney might consider becoming her Secretary of State. I think Rep. Cheney would be amazing at that cabinet position.

Liz Cheney joining a "unity ticket" was my thought too, and I think if Kamala knew then how things would turn out (etc. Liz being both an endorser and partner, most Democrats and moderates embracing the two together instead of being horrified at giving the VP slot to the "other party:) she may have seriously considered it. Back in July though it was not possible to foresee what has come to pass in terms of Kamala's chances and Liz's willingness to be a full partner with her in her election bid. They have broken the icy wall that's been built up for decades, most clearly the past 9 years we have to deal with Trump. At a minimum I hope Kamala Harris is our next president and that Trump is dealt with by the legal system. At most, I hope that we have been shocked deeply enough by the past 9 yrs and close to autocratic chaos we came to go back to people voting how they want while being able to co-exist and flourish with friends and co-workers who voted another way,. Once again our federal government can reflect us, meaning having Cabinet secretaries and advisors of the other party (which used to happen pre-Trump). And I hope that if Liz Cheney is willing to go back into government, that Kamala will ask her to join her administration. And maybe a few other Republicans and independents.
