@@scottkeppler9151 Certainly a lot of truth to that statement. I did however, also own a Vulcan (was an old 750 though), and I only kept it one season. I've had my Road King just about longer than I've owned any other bike now, and I also have a second Harley. They're technically inferior, but the scene that goes with the brand is unique.

@Junkyardgems. That's the same thing I have to explain to customers, every single day of the week. My Shop is for custom Motorcycle jobs, but we don't turn down the basic jobs if we have time to do them. That being said. I get people who ask me to take care of their bikes, and then they don't forget to remind me how many hours that the book says that it will take. I come back with every single job is different, especially when you are dealing with used Motorcycles.

It sounds great. I put those same pipes on my Softail last year, but replaced those baffles with some quiet baffles a few weeks after. I tried to take them back out and put the original baffles back in, those things are in there from being hot and cold, I’m not sure if they’ll ever come out. The quiet baffles from V&H were so tight, there’ no way I could have installed them without putting them on a grinder and taking some of the diameter down. It’d be nice if baffle were made with a small tab or something that’s bent toward the inside you can stick a tool in there to remove them easier.

Bike sounds awesome. How much back pressure did she lose?

Thank you! It's not bad at all, she noticed no difference. We are still going to put some torque cones in it though. I have used them for years.

I say - CUt the baffles down 4 to 6 inches and re-install them. It does sound amazing without them. It should pass inspection with them installed. That's what everyone in CA does.

They are back in for inspection right now, actually cut down as well haha

Man that baffle sure was stubborn, that made a HUGE differencenice. I think a nice Big Chrome Bullet light would look dope on that bike!!! Beautiful bike!!

Watching you guys working on this was [needless to say] fun. Yep, sounds bad ass. It's too loud...ok for short rides but bring ear plugs if riding any distance. Probably a sound volume somewhere in the middle of before & after would be good IMO. Tuning this bike? Consider a 2-into-1 Pipe? Tom in So. Cal. '21 RGS Snake Venom and '06 CVO V-Rod.

Haha thank you! Yes bike is tuned with a fuelpak. Runs very strong. Full face helmets really muffle it. I know 2 to 1 make more power, she just loves the raw sound on this for her. Thanks for watching!

I just found your channel. I'm in my mid-70's and recently acquired a 2011 FLHTK. What kind of a lift table would you recommend? Money is a little tight, and I don't own a compressor.
