@The Backoffice: how did you manage to connect that BT controller to the phone? in which way? I have the same controller and a Honor 7 phone... and I didn't manage to make that mouse pointer to appear on the screen or make any selection (action) with that BT controller. It works as a shutter, it makes volume go up and down, but that's it... no joystick, no select action. So how did you do that?? Thanks in advance!

I dont have the instructions with me, but I recall in one of the modes (operated by the switch) you need to hold the start button and press one of the controller buttons to shift it into that mode. Have a play with it, you might get lucky!

Thanks! Unfortunately not. they really are pretty dumb units, just emulating a few interfaces. You would still need the gyros i am afraid!

I'm not sure it will work out for you, certain 2d content is fine if it has a Google cardboard are app, otherwise it does not work as they require the screen split in two, one for each eye. the controller does indeed work like a mouse, you get a mouse cursor on the screen.

I bought the same vr box you have in this video but I have one concern. I use a Lenovo A5000. Some of the apps requires "gyroscope" to be installed and when i try to open some of the uploaded apps from my phone, it doesn't work since it's requesting to have gyroscope installed. Evans Kan don't lose hope. if you have a pc you can convert that device into an oculus "thrift" without gyroscope being on your phone. just buy the gyroscope mouse and connect it to your pc(use that for head movements or gun aiming for games) then follow the steps on youtube to stream your pc video in vr mode to your device(Kinoni vr app and program) that's my goal but I'm too broke atm so I'm stuck with my cardboard box and my phone :/

Hi Alex, did your controller come with the instruction sheet? if so, to get it to work as required you need to look for the mode to get it to act as a mouse. You will know when it's correct as you will get a mouse cursor in android.

Has anyone encountered the issue of the controller joystick having the wrong in-game orientation? For example pushing it to the left makes your character in the game go backwards and pushing it back makes the character go left. I have one LG G4 and I already tried to use the VR Box. Because it's curved screen, with some effort, you may insert the drawer in the gadget. But, I don't recomend to do so. Unless you want to risk to scratch the backplate or the touchscreen.

+Utkarsh Rastogi what is the issue? Several people here are running successfully with Nexus 6 phones. It's a tight fit and you must use the rubber spacers in the kit so that the buttons do not get pressed.

i have a different vr, but usually most vrs work with any phones under 6 inches long however before you buy one i would just google it or if your buying it from amazon it should say what phones work
