CORRECTION: Seymour not Seymore. Oops
Saturday was another interesting day in the hills with heritage locos X31 and C501 being seen on an SCT Intermodal. They arrived on Friday on MP9 making up 2 of the 4 loco train, and with them leading, making it the first time a good sounding horn has lead an SCT intermodal in a long time.
In this video, we see 7AM9 with the 7 loco consist at both Mitcham and Belair with not a peep of the horn sounding at both locations(which is possibly a good thing). But with the recent disasters involving trains and level crossings I'm surprised these drivers didn't seem to have a need to blow the horn.
Anyway, these locomotives are on hire to SCT as they are rebuilding their first generation CSR classes, which is apparently being done all the way over in China, but I'm not too sure about that, even though they are Chinese built. Two CF classes (CF4403 & CF4410) from RailFirst and CLF2 from RailPower are also apparently on hire to SCT which is good for us spotters!
