the "snappy" movement is probably the user spinning the character with the sticks since maybe they are tethered with a cable to their VR. In H3VR, you turn in increments of 15 degrees.

5:00 Stalker anomaly has a mod called beefs NVGs that does that, having it in VR excites me to no end. Also at about 4:00 it probably runs so well due to the lack of detail in the level.

@@Decibel_DJing true but its really just a screen effect (I think I don't remember), but with this you can see through the sides normally while having them on. It adds a lot since you can see the difference with the light without having to take them off.

wonder how feasible feet-remotes might be for this, as well as games that can benefit from feet placement and orientation. Maybe not like shoes but something around the ankles. Aside from the ankle monitor look, having the ability to position one's feet can really aid in stances and body direction.

there are some really good gunstocks out there that give you the best of both worlds. still being able to use your hands/ motion controllers for reloading, healing, signalling, grenades, maps, radio, handgun etc.

Fun fact that's not a sawed off shotgun it is a REMINGTON 870 MCS 12GA Modular Combat Shotgun it has an 11 inch barrel and the receiver is stronger then your typical 870. It is basically the key to the city when SHTF, NUKE, ZOMBIES, ASTEROID and so on.

co op room clearing is what this game is all about, and there is a MASSIVE audience of people that want just that. but yeah, hopefully there are bigger outdoor maps as well instead of just room clearing. plus a few different gamemodes to mix things up. but 90% of the time, i personally will just play the co op hunt mode.

Do you wanna know something crazy? On their steam page if you look at their minimum and recommended specs, for recommended you only need 16 GB of RAM and a GTX 1070!!! The game just must be really optimized because that’s kind of a hard pill to swallow! Since I have an RTX 3060 I cannot wait to see what this will look like!!!

yeah, when i first got into vr i had a gtx1060 and lenovo explorer. it worked well for onward, but i had to run it on lowish settings. also, with vr its hard to say recommended gpu as everyone will be using different headsets with different resolutions, and different framerates. then again, the same can be said for pancake pc gaming. so ignore my comment.

A release date is not known, not even the devs know one, they said they'll release it when they feel like the game's ready to release. This guy is not ont of the developers, and the only 2 developers working on the game want to do it alone since they have their own office space while working for other clients. The only help they get are 3D models from the internet that aren't even free.

No. The confirmed platforms are PCVR, Quest 2, Quest 3 and PSVR 2. No crossplay between PCVR and Quest. The PCVR version will come out first, then the other versions a couple months later

1:20 running a vr game with no environment at 90fps is not good optimization. its absolutely expected. i only play vr at locked 90fps, if it cant even do that on an empty map, that would be incredibly poor optimization. i believe this game will be demanding. but not massively so. the devs seem to have their priorities in the right places. im certain my rig with a 3080ti and an hp reverb g2 will be able to run this on medium to high settings with locked 90fps and maybe 110-140% super sampling. if i cant, that is bad optimization. but i wont complain, ill just lower a few settings, because this game is the only one of its kind. beggers cant be choosers. i will not look this gift horse in the mouth. no sir.

My thoughts are: all the ingame footage seen in the trailers looks bizarre to me considering how janky every VR game becomes while playing. If it's not cleaned up in post, they are using some beyond expensive hardware way past the normal user base of Quest 2s can offer. Its just hard to believe they can keep the guns that straight, and make no janky mistake movements in this footage. For instance, just about every VR fps player model in 3rd person will be holding their gun slightly over/ through their head. How they are managing to do the opposite when literally every popular VR game hasnt gotten there yet is beyond my level of understanding, but my brain is saying dont belive the hype until you see a real person play it hands on. I'm not saying it cant be done, but for real it looks TOO smooth for what Ive currently experienced in VR.

The gun mechanics look pretty good but... It's almost 2024 and still i did not see revolution there. The VR gaming market has been almost at a standstill for several years. Games still look like productions from the PS3/early PS4 era and there is no end in sight. New AAA productions are not coming out at all. After Boneworks and HL:Alyx I hoped that something would move, but it turns out that currently buying goggles is money thrown down the drain except for those who like flight simulators or racing.

this is definitely a revolution in a way. its the first game in years to focus on making a high quality pcvr game instead of a low quality quest game. plus its a tactical shooter, we dont really have any of those. the last was onward which was destroyed for quest parity years ago. or tactical assault vr which has a basic cartoony art style. probably so it looks good and runs good on quest. geronimo is ground breaking in the sense us mil sim/ tactical shooter fans will finally, for the first damn time, get a vr mil sim. tactical shooter.
