So, decided to take a small break from SO3. MoT having no save points has really been wearing on me, and I wanna make sure I'm not too burnt out to do its final fight justice. And how fitting that the game I pick up for this beak is Intermission, lol. This'll be my first playthrough actually, and I'm going in (mostly) blind, so I'm curious to see where this and Rebirth go.
Heard some good things about this game, and with Rebirth now out on PC I figure it's time to give Yuffie's story a shot (played Remake on release, back on PS4, never got around to Intermission till now.) And so far? I see it. Yuffie's got an interesting mechanic where she can truly dodge attacks, but at the cost of meter (ATB gauge.) However, if you successfully dodge with that move, it'll refund more than it costs. Pretty cool mechanic.
As for Ramuh here, the main gameplan is built around not wanting him to use his DM screen nuke. For obvious reasons, lol. Once his HP's down to a certain threshold, he'll summon spark orbs to start charging the ring behind his back, and unleash it once that's full. You can break the orbs to sop him from charging, which also renders him vulnerable, but I couldn't find a good way to focus them without fighting the camera to also watch Ramuh's attacks, so I took a different route.
Instead, focus on Wind Chakra attacks for most of the fight, which do more Stagger than HP damage, so that when he reaches his threshold, he's almost staggered. Finish that bar out and use an Art of War and some Windstorms to melt through his remaining HP before he can recover, letting us ignore the spark orbs entirely.
As for the what to expect video-wise, dunno. Might do some more of this game, might be something else entirely. But it's not gonna be long before I'm back on the SO3 grind. Just need to recharge my sanity for a bit, lol.
