Nice vid, as always ! Simple question : if we (also) play on the quest-only vrchat version (if we feel to play vrchat without having to link the quest to pc some day), will we have access to our customized "fallback" avatars ? (as long as we connect with the same account indeed)

Why cant I click on “see avatar author”? And it won’t let me clone someone’s avatar even if their cloning is on

some avatars are uploaded as Private and cannot be cloned, even if the user allows cloning.

Nice video. I will just download a quest avatar from booth that I can get for free and just use that has a fall back avatar.

I havent seen all the video yet, but from what I've heard...in vr chat everyone I meet is playing on PC. Because they all have fallback avatars, and I cannot get rid of them.

Heck yeah, I'm hyped to hear about performance fallback! For me it's been *super* common to be in public lobbies with 90% gray robots due to perf block. Now to get the community on board with the idea of optimizing their avatars... 😅

I have everything set up that I'm supposed to have, but the little Use for Fallback checkbox is just not showing up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Edit: 5 months later and I'm still waiting for a reply.

As a half body user, will the animations carry over the avatars if I've got one Rex (PC only) with a different prone animation than my fallback Rex? (Same model, same height etc but different Poses under Playable Layers)? ((I mean when I'm using my PC only version and go prone, would a quest user see me prone normal or with the custom prone pose?)) Amazing video, you're a gift from god himself kek

So, say we have an avatar in our favorites that is already Quest compatible, how would we get it into our fallbacks? I specifically chose an optimized avatar before the fallback system was in place, but it's annoying to constantly hear 6 year old sounding quest users call me out for using a generic pub avatar while they swarm around as brush heads.

you would have to upload the avatar yourself to make it a fallback, you cannot use a publicly available avatar as a fallback outside of the designated public fallback avatars.
