Each VRRP interface gets its own MAC address.

I have Vlans running on router R2. and i want them to run properly when interface eth2 on R2 malfunctions. what can i do?

You can either configure VRRP interfaces on top of each VLAN interface or you can configure your VLANS on top of a base VRRP interface. I prefer the first option because it gives you the most flexibility.

Hi, thanks for this training. On the Mikrotik man pages it states: “address on VRRP interface must have /32 netmask if address configured on VRRP is from the same subnet as on router's any other interface.” wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Interface/VRRP#IPv4 Can you please explain why your configuration didn’t use a /32?
