@@dummy7517 I mean, I know they are probably using augmented reality (or something like that?), I know they can insert elements that are not there in a realistic way (like the roof, going from purple to black like it really is). But to be specific: is the roof of the studio far above the floor? Was the camera really that high? The light triangle "floating" above the anchor, how do they do that? Is that triangle really there? If so, how does it look like it's floating?

@@danielqsc1 they're definitely using AR there. As for the roof: the camera seems to be initially looking right at the top, after a few seconds you can clearly see how they first pan the camera down, and then move the entire rig to the bottom for a close-up shot. So I wouldn't say that it's *really* that high. The light triangle is AR. Not sure how they keep it stable, probably there are some "markers" in that spot so the software can accurately determine where to place the 3D object.

They no longer use this intro. They shortened it to not use the crane movement as it tended to crash. And once did, killing all the gear

I was never a fan of the previous Journaal intro, I much preferred the wide Journaal set (from the end of the Martine Tanghe era) with the sweeping graphics and amazing programmed camera movements and accompanying graphics. With the new update those camera movements are back and it's very seamless as you go from the animation with the pictures over to the news set. It's a very welcome change. However, I don't think that the purple colour makes it more fresh and crisp, rather quite the opposite. I would've kept the lovely shade of blue and implemented the other changes. It's a good evolution in many ways. The font choice is... questionable. Especially the lowercase ''g'' is hideous.

I feel like the animations on the main intro almost feel amateurish, despite how impressive it actually is to sync up animation like that to camera movement. The last intro had the images animated in a way that felt more fitting, almost like they were newspapers being printed.
