im just really starting to get into vrf. so far i like it because its very challenging. we had been having trouble with a toshiba system not cooling. we had the factory guyds out several times and they had us chasing our tails changing strainers because sensor were reading like 19 degrees. we dont have the software so we pulled up all the sensors then checked the actual temp. well we nine of them they were way out of wack like 50 degrees on a couple of them. well this had the heads thinking they were flooded and some other ones thinking they were starved. changed those sensor and we new immediately that we solved the cooling issues. i really want to start working on vrf full time. im sold

Michael Markham this equipment is definitely challenging, but once you get your feet wet, it’s not so bad. Bad sensors will definitely cause issues, and if you have more than one sensor reading way off, it could start taking out compressors. I think you’ll enjoy this, as long as you remember that taking your time and properly diagnosing an issue is key, that way you’re not changing the wrong parts and going back. Hopefully Toshiba has good service manuals like Daikin, because I’ve not had an issue where following the steps have led me to a wrong diagnoses. Glad you enjoy the videos, and thanks for watching. Good luck in your future with this equipment!

The one I have is no longer made, but I'm using this one now. Hook it up, and when all the lights flash, you have a good board. www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Inverter-Phase-Checker-IPC-307-European_62016128281.html

What was the problem with this one? What made you replace the board?

I believe the board check didn’t pass, and the compressor checked out good.

So, having fused three phase/pole switch is essential? We only use an isolator switch without any fuse here in Maldives!

You do not use wiring diagram for reference ? thank you for the video , good job anyway
@tcphvacr99506 жыл бұрын
Only if I forget where something goes. With this stuff it's pretty easy to remember where wires go, and with the plugs it's a no brainer due to the plugs only fitting in one spot and being color coded.
