I have both Model Y Performance and refresh Model S LR. Model Y wins for family/value/storage/practicality, Model S for no kids or 1 baby/kid, looks, speed, comfort, luxury, range. Model S arguably better value if locked in at $80K grandfathered price (if can afford car that expensive), but Model Y better value at current sticker pricing. (>$35K less than base Model S) Selling my S due to just finding out another baby on the way (2nd) and as a result buying new house (need money saving of Y), or would be S all the way for me.

Good points and I agree. While I like the Model Y a lot, I do love the Model S :) Just more fun to drive even if it's a little less practical.

What is better value, a used 2021 Model S or a new 2023 Model Y. $65k vs $41.5? It’s much closer in price now. I can’t decide

I believe the S is actually wider but the Y feels roomier (maybe because of the headroom).

really depends on what you want out of the vehicle, but for me, overall, I'd definitely pick the S, it's much more fun to drive :)

I like the ride quality in the S better. The Y feels a little bouncy but still nice IMO.
