to make ot more stable and heavy.. can you hang a weight west of 20 kilos on it? or will that damage the construction and make it sag down midway over time if you hang something heavy over the chest of it? am looking into this one...

Sawadee Krup, I apologize for the late reply. I'd just use weights to lay over the sand bags on the base. If you use a weighted vest or jacket on the top. It won't help, you'll still kick the legs and it'll fall over easily, especially with teeps!

@framestomind7548 yes, great for visual strikes, technical points. Not for hard training. Yet the visual aspect of it all is very helpful for beginners.

With 2 dumbbells or really heavy duty sand bags laying across the bottom, what’s preventing the option of going 100% power?
@MuayThaiMadness
@MuayThaiMadness 2 ай бұрын
@KillxShot_330 Swadee Krup 🙏🏿, yes I'd use dumbells to lay over the sandbags on the base. It'll give you more stability so Bob won't fall left, right or backwards when you teep or kick 100%. In this video I didn't have weight over the sandbag base. So I didn't go 100 on it. Or else you'd see it fall back etc. The 60lb of sand in the bags that are recommended for the base isn't enough to keep it from falling over when going 100 on it. I believe the manufacturers designed this Bob to train your technique rather than using it to build strength in your power strikes. Yet as practitioners that we are, we find ways to get it done 😉

@@MuayThaiMadness thank you 🙏🏾 (sry I forget the Thai translations 😅). Do you think you could lay heavy duty, for example, 3 100lb sandbags across the bottoms and be able to go full force from top to bottom? I want to purchase for cardio and getting a workout by going full force which I know a heavy bag is better for, but if I could get the benefits of both that would be ideal. But if trying to get that out of Bob will only result in damaging it or breaking, then it’s pretty much just wasted money that could’ve went to a quality heavy bag to begin with.

@KillxShot_330 you do bring up some good points! I do believe 100lbs sandbags to lay over the sandbag bag bases would be a great improvement in stability. As for which to invest your money on for focusing on cardio or getting a good workout. I'd go with a large heavy bag like the Fairtex HB7. If you want to build power as well. I have a review on that bag as well if you like to see. I'd only get this Bob to focus on technique tho. Being able to work on clinching and kneeing a torso and having the ability to deliver inner and outter leg kicks in certain areas, helps in great ways. A heavybag has limitations in those areas. Yet.... in Bangkok all I ever used were heavybags. This is nice to have, yet if your more focused on cardio and building strength I'd go with a heavybag :) Also I doubt you can damage this Bob unless your using sharp objects to attack it with. ☠️

Hello Sir, can you do throws/takedowns/grappling on Versys VSBob?
@MuayThaiMadness
@MuayThaiMadness Жыл бұрын
Sawadee krub, I suppose you could. Although because of the bottom half it wouldn't feel right. The bob dummy top half would be at an angle if you tried to mount it for example. Due to the bottom half having 3 legs like a tripod. You could train sweeps, throws on either side of the front legs, yet you'd have to avoid adding the sand bags at the base. I wouldn't purchase it for ground training. Just standing technical training :)

Sir, Is this good for conditioning?
@MuayThaiMadness
@MuayThaiMadness 6 ай бұрын
@mider9996 Sawadee Krup, I'd say not really. Even if you place dumbell weights at that bottom to keep the dummy from falling backwards or side to side with hard punches and kicks. You won't be able to get the conditioning you crave like you would with a heavy bag. This is a great product for improving your form and technique with targeting punches and especially kicks. Yet to condition your shins and body I'd go with training on a heavy bag. Having both a heavy bag and this "Versys BOB" does help overall tho. 🙏🏿

Can you kick the legs with 100% force without breaking the pvc?
@MuayThaiMadness
@MuayThaiMadness 8 ай бұрын
Sawadee Krup, yes you can! Just make sure you put weight down on the base where the sandbags are located. Use 1 or 2, 30lbs dumbells and go at it. If for say you happen to break a pvc pipe, you can pull it out and go to a hardware store and replace it with the same size and length. :)
