Hello team, did you include the possibility of having multiple workspaces open on the side bar? Thanks, But vscode is terribly slow when coding with Java, c++ etc. it consumes so much RAM!!!
@harryhopkinson1622 жыл бұрын
It does not for me. How much RAM does it use?

I've had VS Code become so slow when coding in Dart/Flutter on my i7 machine that it was barely usable. When I pressed backspace it took about 10 seconds to register and if I pressed any other key before it registered it would mess up the order the keys were pressed in and remove characters that I didn't want to be removed. Upgrading to an M1 Mac helped quite a bit (though it's still much slower than Sublime Text), but the fact that a machine with an i7 CPU isn't powerful enough for a text editor these days is kinda concerning.

@@harryhopkinson162 Average of 1.8GB. The jdk continues to run in the background even if you close vscode. So the more times you open vscode, several jdks will be eating up the RAM besides vscode. Of course, I kill these jdk instances when I close vscode. But vscode still cosumes about 1.8 GB as mentioned. Thanks.

Please fix the terminal team vsc :( there are so many issues. It is like very broken for me since Idk like oct release? I created an issue too, was marked as possible duplicate of another issue (#75141 [OPEN]). Still isn't fixed. I already reinstalled vsc like 2 times but can't get ride of that annoying terminal behaviour.
