I always love the choices of Keyblades for these. Shooting Star to represent Twilight Town, the clocktower Xion would spend her afternoons on, where she first bonded with Roxas and Axel and she eventually met her end. Oblivion to represent her connections to both Riku and, with Double Form, Roxas himself. Crystal Snow to represent the Sea-Salt Ice Cream that meant so much to her friends.

It is so much better than kh2, people just don't know the mechanics of them well enough
@LongSinceDead13 жыл бұрын
The thing is, KH3’s combat has potential to be great, and the Re:Mind content shows how good it really is, but the main game just does not adequately make use of it. This isn’t helped by the fact that mechanically it was plagued with problems and sloppy design at launch. Subsequent patches and additional content have fixed most of those problems and made it a fun, varied combat system, but when only the DLC content makes good use of it, it’s a bit of wasted potential. KH2FM’s combat isn’t perfect and doesn’t give you as much immediate control as 3 does, but when you’re playing 2 on Critical Mode, it really does make you take advantage of a wide breadth of the system’s options, even during the main game. It’s systems also work together extremely well and have synergy with each other. The only thing I think KH3 does vastly better in the immediate (and granted, this is a pretty big thing) is the amount of control you have over your evasive maneuvers during combos, since it’s much easier to dodge and block out of them. Also keyblade switching and how they work with keyblade transformations is awesome - it’s not done as well as it could be but holy shit I love it. With some tweaks and refinements it could basically become the equivalent to DMC’s style switching. I can’t decide whether I love the drive form system of 2 or Keyblade transformations in 3 better since they’re both good ideas that work well in their respective combat systems. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I still prefer 2’s combat overall because of how refined and synergistic most of your options are, but Re:Mind demonstrates how close KH3 is to being even better as a combat system because holy shit these fights are brilliantly designed. I hope they refine what they have here in the next game and give me the perfect KH combat experience.
@TheRodrigo42993 жыл бұрын
The key blade switching is much better handled than drive forms, Valor form is useless by the endgame and not viable for most of the data battles and lingering will

There are so many problems that I could tell you right now but you wouldn't understand you casual noob. And you see these videos but you can't do not not even 1 precent of those. And data battles are much more easier in kh3. You can cheese them as easy as in kh2 and you can skip whole dms with links. And you have food that increases your stats to make it even easier. And yozora is also easy. The moment you learn his attacks he is so predictable and easy. No challenge at all. You don't like kh2 because it needs skill and don't even talk about reflect if you continue this argument because reprisals are almost as broken. And don't make me talk about the base game which is a chore to play. Get some cufflinks and the game is done.
@johnpantag4722 жыл бұрын
@@jembozaba4864 and you don't even understand the combat philosophy. Kh3 is made for aerial combat. Floaty. And the data battles are made for grounded combat. In kh3 you fall slower to the ground and all of these options in the air are useless because In a fight like saix you stay in the air and some attacks can't be guarded so you are dead. And the combos are snappier in kh2 and have more punch. And don't make me talk about formchanges. Free forma that take 3+ bars with a combo not even reflect does that. And there is a limit to your options. In kh2 you can do so many combos that can be viable between summons limitss attacks drives. In kh3 however keyblade switching is just for style nothing else. And links cam easily be used to survive a dm or take the armor from an armored state boss like xion it's so easy. It took me months to beat kh2 data battles and minutes to beat kh3 data battles. Except yozora who is hard as hell but once you learn him he is easier than data battles. I find xehanort harder than yozora.

Don't listen to anything that's mainstream, I criticized KH3 as a game myself (mostly the pacing of the story) but it's nowhere near a bad game. I find it funny because every time I debated people who claimed that its a shit game with a bad storyline that makes no sense, I found most of them to play only the original titles (KH1,KH2 and KH3) yet they expected to be able to comprehend what was happening. Criticizing the combat while it has the greatest design of data battles by far and it's not even close. Some may argue and say "yes but only the data battles are good and the story bosses/mechanics are easy and abusable" but even in KH2FM there were retarded things to abuse such as chicken little and magnera. Sure the difficulty of the story bosses could have been better, but for me they nailed it with the data bosses so I can't complain. This is why you don't take people who post on reddit seriously, no matter what they get offered they'll still complain and call it trash.
