Honestly, while I understand the sentiment others here have that the vocals make this song feel a bit off to some, especially given the grandiose-ness and danger the orchestral version is supposed to convey in contrast to the happy vocals, I personally feel they're pretty well utilized here, wrapping up what the game's all about in one neat little mix while summing Sonic's character and his thoughts as he does what he does best - rush headlong into peril. I especially like the part at 4:15-4:16 - that part of the instrumental being omitted in the first half of this mashup, to then sync up with the "toniiiiiiiiiiiight" at the chorus gives it SO much impact.
