So the Apollo probably had the same spring as the Powerball, but the priming handle on the Apollo is gear assisted. So it essentially requires less effort to compress the spring.

I have a pro for the Powerball, reload capability, with the powerballs hopper you can just pop the lid open and top off some rounds, unlike the apollos stick mag that you have to unload, and load by hand before replacing it back into the blaster.

Magazines/clips versus top loading/internal mags/ front loading (you get the picture) since mags are great... unless you don't have them and top loading is great if you're at a scavenging type war so if the war you're at allows you to rip off every once in a while than use top loaders since mags can restrict movement and such. But if you need an instant reload that is less vulnerable than go with mags.
