Thanks for this. Can you tell me if that 85mm turbo's housing is the same size housing used for their VSR 94/113mm Billet T6 1.24 turbo? External measurements....? I'm curious if the VSR 94/113mm Billet T6 1.24 will fit in my engine bay.

I’m not sure about the exact size spec for the 94/113 but from looking at the pictures and weight (80lbs) it looks like a much larger housing, but the 94/108 billet t6 housing looks identical to the 85mm. I can get you the width measurements when I get back to the shop. Hope this helps!

@@MooreRacing ...Ok thanks. Nobody from VS Racing ever replies to my emails. I believe the 94/108 is good for an easy 1500 HP on a 408ci LSx engine, but we were trying to put the biggest turbo into the space we have in front of the engine.

I’m debating between those two snails myself… any chance you could offer some feedback or suggestions on which to go with for a 408 stroker LS? 10.5 to 11:1 compression, e85, TFS 225cc heads, in a 2000 RCSB sierra with AWD and stalled 80e? 3.73 gears. custom hot side. 2.25” x-over with 4.5” DP. Plan to run it on 10-13 psi

Can a vs85mm t4 make 1000 whp on a 6.0 ? Or do i need a t6 flange
@MooreRacing Жыл бұрын
I don’t see why not, cooling intake temps and how well your exhaust flows (headers vs turbo log) will make more of a difference.

How much power did the 7875 support?
@MooreRacing3 ай бұрын
I would say around 8-900, had a lot of back pressure with the 7875
@GTStuning-13 күн бұрын
That 7875 1.25 AR is a perfect turbo for a 4.8 Definitely too small for a 6.0 when pushing higher boost as you've seen, but even for a 6.0 it does well at moderate boost like sub 15 psi, afterwards the backpressure gets bad

I just picked up a vs 85mm last week for my 408 build

What was your engine combo and your hot side configuration that yielded that much back pressure? I’ve been fighting a similar problem with the billet 7875 .96a/r single turbo on a 5.3, and a 370. Have it configured with dual 44mm’s, 2.5” hot side, trying to push through 3” cold side with A2W. Stepping up to a 4” downpipe helped a bit, but I think the turbo itself is the issue.
@MooreRacing Жыл бұрын
Old setup was 6.0 with 2.5 crossover to an fsp log, 3.5 down pipe off the 7875. 3 inch cold side, 50mm BOV and 44mm wastegate New setup is same 6.0, same crossover and turbo log to the 85mm, new 4 inch down pipe and 4 inch cold side, new 60mm waste gate and new 60mm BOV Basically pushing to much air for the 7875, Richard holdner recommended we upgrade to the 85mm. With the 85mm we are getting a 1 to 1.5 ratio of boost to back pressure at 16psi, we haven’t cranked up the boost yet on the 85mm. On the 7875 we were maxing it out at 20 psi

I don’t think so, it really depends on the cam and toque converter combo, also a trans brake to help spool up
