Thats one of those places u "only see in movies". Beautiful views n lines for days. Ive really gotta make it out for axial fest n plbtf n hit some of that beautiful terrain. Itd b awesome to go hit some trails with u n brandon. Think im goina try n get up to mt cheaha n hit some of the mountains up there. Only bout hr drive from me. I was actually on a 3s 5000 pack all day. I just put in the big battery so I didn’t have to worry about switching since I was just trying to be out relaxing.

I’ve watched a lot of your videos and enjoyed this one quite a bit. Im often spontaneously out solo driving the trails near me as a way to relax and can appreciate the genuine smile on your face when you were describing how it was out there. In the town of Washington there's a small RC rock crawling park behind the RV park next to the river. Anytime you want to come up and enjoy your more than welcome to. There's lots of places to go crawling around at up here

Awesome video Josh. This is what got me into crawlers, exploring old usfs and mining roads in a full size, then play with the RC at lunch. When are you going to 3d design a thumb knob to help one handed driving on a futaba? Also good to see your Jeep away from the mall😆

Thanks for the video, Josh. I’m a beginner at this hobby and in the midst of buying a crawler rig. Had a question about batteries. For long hikes how do you prepare battery wise? Do you just have a ton of batteries or somehow carry just 2 and charge some how?

On a rig like my VS4-10, I really only carry 2-3 batteries depending on the size. If I run a 4000-5000mah pack, each battery will last nearly 2 hours.

I drive with one hand and have the gopro in the other on a small flexible tripod that’s comfortable to hold. I don’t set the camera down or use a gimbal.
