Well my friend, this is the last episode of Could You Survive The Movies! I really hope you liked this season. Truly. I spent 7 months working on this show between hosting, directing and writing. It was honestly a dream come true for me and I’m so lucky I got to share it with you. There are 6 episodes in total (plus the Mad Max pilot) and a Behind-the-Scenes video for each one. If you missed any go check em out! Let me know what movies you’d like to see in the future and thanks again for watching!

That was an awesome film! Just a comment about you description of entanglement. It's not difficult to send messages via entangled particles, it is impossible. Also, measuring one doesn't affect the other (there is no causality) their states are correlated when you measure them. If the two experimenters measure the particles in different directions, you loose the correlation. So you can't transmit messages through entanglement. Transmitting a message would consist of one experimenter (Alice) measuring one particle in a certain direction, and the other experimenter (Bob) being able to tell which direction the Alice measured in through the entangled particles, but he can't do this because the correlation is lost if they measure them in different directions. But I'm just being pedantic. 😄

Soooo. The Xenomorph isnt carbon based. Its Silicon based. Yes it takes on traits from its hosts but none of their weaknesses or for that matter no traits that reduce its survival. It's why it's the perfect organism. Its able to adapt to any environment including the vacuum of space. It doesn't breath. It's also fireproof to some degree due to its molecular structure and body coated in thick slime. Only ultra high temperatures are able to damage it like the exhaust from a ship. Flame throwers only hurt it or inconvenience it. I ts body is also super dense making it bullet proof to low caliber rounds with only high caliber doing some damage but its able to heal almost instantly. This is why it could so easily rip through metal and burst through hardened doors without damaging itself. Strength is one thing but all the strength in the universe wont mean anything if your density is less than that of what your trying to break. Your relatively squishy body will simply go splat with your hardest punch. Its acid blood is frankly beyond our current technology as its engineered to break down everything on a molecular level instantly. Currently no acid "known" dose this.
@MGSLurmey4 жыл бұрын
The fatal flaw with it being silicon-based, however: is that the human body has only reportedly 0.0010kgs of Silicon which is 0.0058% by atomic ratio. That's nowhere near enough to make a belly/chest-burster, let alone a full xenomorph.

Wait wait wait, back up... Why would someone in the future make a pure oxygen cabin spaceship if it's deadly enough as it is and why would someone something like electrical instruments in a pure oxygen environment where they'll be sleeping in about Idl a few decades and never expect something malfunctioning and/or overheating. So we could assume that in the movie, the Nostromo used an Oxygen Nitrogen mix atmosphere. And of course since it's gonna run for for almost more than IDK a few decades, you can assume that it recycles the air in some way The shipe does it. And of course keeps the pressure on substantially when its active and/or can quickly pressurize the whole ship when they wake up. Soo technically with a flamethrower in an enclosed space with a near earth-like atmospheric condition, we could assume the flamethrower would work as it worked back in the trench wars... enclosed space and earth's atmosphere. Who would build a spaceship with billions of dollars just to kill it in a matter of seconds. Soo technically or we could assume that the flamethrower could either be a small flame or larger one depending on the system of the nostromo. And with enclosed spaces like that with so many people, why would'nt someone make a fast process to recycle air and maintain it's pressure all through out. Soo Maybe the flamethrower would work normally. The metal around you will just simply go hot super and/or melt it if it's made out of aluminum.

Yeah, I was just about to comment that. I really enjoyed the video, and it was clever how she came to the conclusion that the Xenomorph takes certain traits from its original host. But one thing that never changes is that it’s a silicon based life form. A small error, and they all still made a great video. But an error that can pull you out of the video
@MGSLurmey4 жыл бұрын
@@ShawnofSteel874 Problem with it being silicon-based is.. if they gestate as a parasite inside humans, where does it get all the silicon to form its body? The human body doesn't have nearly enough silicon in order to build all the necessary molecules for a chest-burster, let alone a full xenomorph. It *has* to be carbon-based to make sense.

There's only one problem that I have with your analysis/conclusion, you wouldn't use up all the oxygen in a room on a space ship as they have to constantly pump it through the ship otherwise everyone on the ship would asphyxiate as you said. Therefore no you would not die shortly after using a flame thrower due to the oxygen burning up, as the ship would continuously pump it and it wouldn't run out any time soon depending on the size of the ship.

@Nocturnalzyx4 жыл бұрын
I think it seems like a bad assumption that venting the oxygen in the ship would be an effective way to kill xenomorphs since they are presented in a vacuum at least three times and seem to have little issue functioning in these environments. Fire, at least in the lore I'm aware of, has never really been presented as a method for killing xenomorphs but as a way to scare off the "wild animals" and in most cases it is shown that flamethrowers are NOT effective at exterminating the creatures at any rate. Even if depressurizing the ship would eventually kill the creatures, I'm confident you and your crew would be dead long before the xenomorphs would, if there was a way to pressurize the ship again odds are you'd die before it would be safe to do so. AND IT IS CRAZY IRONIC that you claim using a flamethrower in space is a bad idea due to its tendency to consume oxygen the your suggested plan to kill the creature involves venting all the oxygen onboard... Humans can usually survive in a vacuum without protective equipment (or lasting ill effects) for a few minutes potentially but would face unconsciousness in about 15 seconds. These creatures can function apparently without any physical handicaps in a vacuum for at least several minutes and have entered vacuums willingly in Alien Isolation. Lastly, according to Ash, xenomorphs replace their surface shells with polarized silicon and therefore at least use silicon in their anatomy.

Wanted to point out that it's actually a bit of a misconception that the Chestburster comes out of your stomach. The Facehugger actually gets the Chestburster in your chest cavity (supposedly in the form of a fluid). When it's ready to come out, it releases something that softens up the nearby bone and tissues, then effectively rams its way through your sternum, bursting its way out your chest, hence the name. The ones that come out of your stomach are a completely different beast entirely, known as Bellybursters, and were only shown in one movie (and can be debated on whether or not any of it is actually canon).
