Another use case is the ability to code on the iPad. First step to transitioning developers from laptop to tablet. The next step would be getting a native terminal in iPadOS.

Another use case for low end PC users. As we all love StackOverFlow, so to copy code we have to open chrome & vscode separately consuming a lot of RAM (*low end stuffs*), now the problem is solved as we only have to open Chrome and that's it.

Great timing! I just ordered a USB adapter and a keyboard/mouse monstrosity so I can study at work. I have a lot of dead time at work and looking to make use of it. I was just making the initial searches into mobile IDEs last night, this is great news!

The only practical use case is for editing the markdown. Because you can preview it. Imagine being in a browser, and you can't even run html / javascript. Might as well us gitpod, it gives you a real browser vscode experience. Or code-server.

I have question. How do you open folder on vscode in browser in your friend/cousin’s laptop instead of your laptop with your folder?
@Goldsacs3 жыл бұрын
Seems your code for the most part will be locally stored with local file system access. Good for when managers get hung up on where code is.

Nice - but I don't get the real life usecase (yet). As long as I can't transpile/compile/run projects in the browser without the need of a cloud server it seems pretty useless. I would love to see this working on an iPad which would be such a perfect vacation coding device, if apple didn't dongle it for develpers.
