#VSDC I like to make artistic montage videos of various topics. I normally get the footage online or from my classmates and VSDC has been so helpful in letting me get that done. My only dislike is when I attempt to do something that I think would turn out pretty cool and the program tells me I need a Pro License! I would really love a Pro License since it would let me do some things that I've been wanting to experiment with and play around with in the program.

Ed, I must say, this was an EXCELLENT video. Your pace was flawless, the content dummy-proof. I was so confused and intimated by the tool. I'm new to this whole KZbin world, I didn't even know what a thumbnail was up to last week. I am now an expert, I can cut, add text, add sound, add transitions, fix saturations, brightness, you name it. I will forever be grateful. Note: This is the 4th VSDC tutorial I watch and the 1st one that my brain can actually compute. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I will forever be grateful.

Wow! Thank you. I've seen so many bad video tutorials on VSDC editor that I was about ready to delete it off my computer, but from the beginning you showed me where I was screwing up. So many of the tutorials I've run across are just video and some music and no explanation and were of no help whatsoever. Still got a lot to learn, but you gave me a good starting point.

Hi, I'm just starting out in video. I have been taking stills for years. I live in the Lake District in the UK and got a video camera for my birthday. I am a keen hiker in the mountains in and around the Lake District and would like to be able to film and edit to show anyone who has not been here what a great place it is. I do need some basic skills though so am very glad to see you are doing tutorials to get me started.

Great tutorial. I watched several tutorials. Most of them rapidly click through the settings. Their screen looks different than my screen and I often can not figure out what they actually did. I LOVE that you took your time and explained. Even so, I had to try things one step at a time, over and over, and now, I think I finally am getting the hang of VSDC. I am still trying to figure out how put transitions exactly where I want them. I am trying to decide between Corel Ultimate editor and VSDC. I like the VSDC price and once I started getting the hang of VSDC, I think it actually provides better editing control than Corel at a fraction of the cost. Thanks for a great tutorial.

I'm building training videos for my karate studio for use on my (local) website. Sections of dojo training sessions for demo purposes will be stitched with examples of specific sequences performed in the "correct" way. My main problem is that the format of the master videos is mpg - which itself needs to be edited into smaller pieces. I was hoping that VSDC could trim my ham-handed snipping of the mpg - without having to create a multi-gigabyte mp4 - it seems that the free version only creates mp4s - conversion is implied - and required. Anyway - after reviewing multiple software solutions, I will likely spend the time and effort to continue with VSDC - it solves all of my immediate needs and has so much more that I will likely use in the future. Thank you for a very clear explanation of VSDC - I wish all other teaching resources were as complete - and relevant.
