VSL Synchron Bosendorfer Upright Piano Review.

Awesome walkthrough, and very thorough! Thanks for giving this upright some love. For anyone considering buying this rather pricey piano, here’s my opinion, FWIW. I’ve demoed all of VSLs Synchron Pianos and this Bos upright is one of my top favorites. I probably use it more than any of the other several dozen piano vsts I own. I own a few other VSL standard pianos as well, but this is the only one I’ve bought with the upgraded full mic version. It’s just so versatile and sounds so good with the extra mic settings! With some tweaks it can sound similar to a baby grand all the way to an old honky tonk bar piano. It’s the best upright I’ve heard so far, although I’m not really a fan of the other VSL uprights to be honest. It is also a bit of a resource hog with higher polyphony and mic settings. If you’re looking for a good sounding upright but are on a budget, then I’d recommend the VI Modern U (sampled from a Yamaha). If you wait for a sale, it can be had for less than $120, which is quite a bargain for the sound quality you get, and it has a much smaller footprint. It’s also much easier on your CPU and memory if you have an older computer as well.

Nice review and demo of VSL’s marvelously sampled Bosendorfer Upright! Your very well played Classical, Pop, R&B, and Gospel samples did a great job of highlighting just how good this magnificent little beast of a piano sounds. While VSL‘s is a Sample library company, sometimes they strike me as fine artists with products like this one.
