Can you please post a demo of you playing the D-274 going up and down the keyboard chromatically and play the notes soft and hard? It would be great to hear each note and how they sound individually! Thanks!

Thanks for this! :) If you could only have one. D-274 or the Bösendorfer Imperial? I want to buy one of them but since they are very expensive I have to choose and I like the sound of both but not sure. :)

Probably the D-274 since it's so widely used. You can always get the Bosendorfer Imperial later with its extended range :)

William McFadden I took your advice and just got the D-274 standard lib after trying out the demos over the weekend and the offer of the reduced price ends soon. Very happy with it and might upgrade to full if there will be another sale come Black Friday 😊 Tanks agan for great review!

That is very nice review! I really like it! Is it possible to change a 440 hz to 442 hz? What is the default hz btw? :)
@BillMcFadden3 жыл бұрын
I believe default is 440 hz. I probably can be changed. VSL is quite sophisticated.

The piano sounds convincing, indeed, however I do admire your playing. What kind of MIDI controller has been used for this presentation? Thank you.

A Native Instruments keyboard controller.

could it be possible for example to buy a... roland GP or Yamaha GP, use a tablet with this kind of software, conected to the amp of the roland? So the roland would sound like a Steinway? Cause now these digital GP's sounds like crap. Thanks.

Yes you can. Try and get aftertouch on your controller for maximum function since some libraries use aftertouch.

It sounds absolutely wonderful but 285€ is so much! I can get 10 other VSTs from other vendors for the same price.
@BillMcFadden3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I know, quite expensive..

Hi Henriko. Do you know any good piano vst's? I can play, but dont have the money for a Steinwey, or even kawai ore cheapest chinese piano. Thanks

What are the specs of your pc running this? Do you get any dropped notes, pops or crackles? Any distortion?

I run a mac pro, 12 core, you need to have the samples on a fast SSD as well. The Samsung 2TB 860 EVO SATA III 2.5" Internal SSD works well.

@Tristan Lavictoire You should contact support at support@vsl.co.at. You will definitely need to run it on a SSD with at least 16GB of Ram. It will probably work if you have a newer quad core computer. The more mic positions you use the greater the strain on your computer. You probably would be ok with the Standard version, but the Extended version with more mic positions consumes a lot of processor and streaming power.

They might be willing to give you a demo version to see if it will work on your computer. That makes the most sense to me. It's a beautiful piano, especially with more mic positions.

@Tristan Lavictoire I'm partial to the Steinway D, most classical artists are as well including Rubenstein. It's a very warm piano and they all have a full sound especially with additional mics.
