@Shuvraj Lama magearna was indeed introduced in a movie that was made during x and y time but magearna itself is an alolan pokemon in terms of the pokedex and it only being available in gen 7 and 8. If we were to replace one of these guys for marshadow I would personally boot melmetal out because know one at this point knows if this thing is gen 7 or gen 8. For awhile I thought it was gen 7 but then I thought it was gen 8 during the Pokemon of the year voting thing, and now I don't classify it as either alolan or galar. Meltan/melmetal at this point live in there own little world

Yeah, galar only has zacian, zamazenta, eternatus, eternamx eternatus, kubfu, urshifu single strike, urshifu rapid strike, urshifu single srtike gmax, urshifu rapid strike gmax, calyrex, regeleki, regidrago, and zarude. Meanwhile alola has type null, 18 different types of silvally, tapu koko, tapu lele, tapu bulu, tapu fini, cosmog, cosmoem, solgaleo, lunala, necrozma, dusk mane necrozma, dawn wings necrozma, ultra necrozma, magearna, pokeball form of magearna, marshadow, and zeraora. And if you really want to go far then we can also include the ultra beasts but I personally will not be counting them. As for meltan and melmetal...they dont really have a proper generation. Yes they were usable in pokemon go and lets go which are considered gen 7 games but gamefreak sort of considers them to not be gen 7 or gen 8 (even tho it was lumped in with the gen 8 mons during the Pokemon of the year votes) I personally would not have meltan/melmetal join the fight but if you really want to then you can go either way on which team they join, gen 7, gen 8, it don't matter. Meltan and melmetal just live in there own little world right now
