My sweet departed wife was trying to get tickets to see them. I can never watch ‘tis and not think of unconditional love, peace and harmony even tho she wasn’t well she tried and she also did so much for everyone. I will truly hold all this close to my heart and it is a enduring strength of the human spirit and for that I am eternally thankful. Love each other. Always and forever 💜

I wish the Remastered version of Homeworld had this song in the credits. This song was an added bonus to beating the game.
@_ZeusWrath_4 жыл бұрын
the song is not there, because remastered version is crap, an attempt to make money on someone else's job.
@Mistianni3 жыл бұрын
@@_ZeusWrath_ I completely disagree with you. First of all, the reason that HW:1 Remastered doesn't contain Homeworld (The Ladder) during the end credits is, unsurprisingly, due to licensing issues. Secondly, by remastering HW:1 & HW:2, these two games are not only being preserved for many years to come, they have been literally introduced to an entirely new generation of gamers to be loved and enjoyed as much as we did when they were initially released twenty years ago. I couldn't be happier that Homeworld has been remastered and re-released.
@_ZeusWrath_3 жыл бұрын
@@Mistianni You couldn't be happier? Do you know why this is so? I will answer you... This is because you have no idea what Homeworld 1 is. In the remastered version of the game, this game, was totally destroyed... This cannot be liked by those people who know what Homeworld Classic is. I am not against the remastered version of Homeworld 2, I was against the destruction of the cult first game. The problem is, Homeworld 1 was not built for the Homeworld 2 engine. When this was moved to the wrong place, the game lost its finer points. their branded details. In order to understand this, you had to play Homeworld 1 in 2000, as I did.
@Mistianni3 жыл бұрын
@@_ZeusWrath_ You obviously have no idea what you are ranting about. I am a HUGE fan of HW:1. I purchased the full boxed edition on its original release back in 1999. It is my absolutely favorite game of all time and I've lost count of the number of times I've played it through. As I type this, I'm looking down at my copy of the Homeworld: Historical and Technical Briefing book that came with my box set. Needless to say I also purchased HW:2 and HW: Cataclysm as soon as I could following their release dates. So to say that the Remastered versions cannot be liked by fans who also enjoyed the original versions is the height of arrogant stupidity. You sound like some sort of elitist who thinks that because he played the "original" version that you're somehow special. I hate to break it to you (no, I don't really), but those of us who purchased and played the initial release can still appreciate and enjoy the Remastered versions as well. And I am glad that they were updated and re-released so that a new generation of gamers can be exposed to one of the best RTS games of all time.
@_ZeusWrath_3 жыл бұрын
@@Mistianni what are you talking to me about? your last message makes no sense. I am not trying to discuss "Historical and Technical Briefing" or Catalcysm with you, Just stop discuss about other threads. I told you that HWR is crap and I explained the main reason - "Homeworld 1 this game, was totally destroyed". There are dozens of reasons, but I told you only one of the most significant. You said that "I am a HUGE fan of HW: 1" Then if you don't fuck in your eyes, you should also say that Homeworld 1 Remastered is crap. But if you fuck in your eyes and you like the remastered version of Homeworld 1 then, just do something with your f*cking eyesight and stop writing to me.

That is a magnificent rendition of a modern Yes classic! It has all the ingredients of the great songs of the 70s. For the albums The Ladder and Magnification the band were firing on all cylinders and at the best they had been for years. These two albums were the last great Yes albums. Now Chris has gone and the two versions are touring we will never have music like this again. The Greatest Band On Earth.

@tonusaitis2 жыл бұрын
@@azhurelpigeon Igor engaged in some sexual misconduct with a female theater security guard at one of their concerts on the 2000 Masterworks Tour. I believe he was arrested and then promptly fired by the band. That was followed by their "Symphonic" tour in 2001 with an orchestra instead of a keyboard player - although they wound up touring with Tom Brislin on keyboards in addition to having orchestras despite the original plan of not having a keyboard player. The band decided that some songs simply couldn't do without a keyboard player even though they had a full orchestra on hand, so they hired Brislin for that tour.

"Homeworld (The Ladder)" Nothing can take us far enough emotion Far enough together As the light shines so bright Bright enough to let us in Nothing can bridge our souls' devotion Fast enough together As the power proves you right Right enough to let you begin So many displaced among the future dreamers Realized their doubles Took a new step A question of origin Only in the recent past Seekers fought to realize Skyward shone like beacons A question of origin Ten thousand millions flee To the westward light The dreamers represent This arc of peace As the poets entranced The anchor redeemed Secrets of science The history of the future Was surely made Just what keeps us so alive Just what makes us realize Our home is our world, our life Home is our world Nothing can take us far enough emotion Far enough together As the light shines so bright Bright enough to let us in Nothing can bridge our souls devotion Fast enough together As the power proves you right Right enough to let you begin Speak so fast to the prophets of the living Looking for the signs Spanning out the centuries Search for truth Ancient ones, they watch and listen Carry our wishes Took upon themselves to guide us Through the endless skies Just what keeps us so alive Just what makes us realize Our home is our world, our life Our hope is our world, our life I have seen the passion That's in the hope that everyone Will find their way into the secret Of the home of your heart Living within the vision Within the power, beyond belief We see that hate destroys the soul Of anyone who tries to teach it I have seen the dream That's in your heart That's in your eyes To bring you closer to the one It's what keeps us so alive It's what makes us realize Our home is our world, our life Just what keeps us so alive Just what makes us realize Our home is our world, our life Home is our world, our life Send, ascending to the secrets All is pure and clear to resolve Nothing can change us now Send, ascending to the future Nothing can ever change us now We follow the sun We follow the sun We follow the sun Truth is a simple place Here for us all to see Reach as it comes to you As it comes to me As I will always need you inside my heart Peace is a word we teach A place for us all to reach Sing as it sings to you As it sings to me As I will always need you inside my heart

I considered this album a triumphant return to their progressive rock halcyon days, but by then the more radio friendly Trevor Rabin era had taken its toll and I'd heard a lot of die hard classic Yes fans had already fled. But The Ladder, Keys to Ascension and Magnification are high points in the repertoire for me. This song in particular ranks right up there with some of the Going For the One era songs at least.

I saw this concert at a House of Blues club, I stood right up next to the stage in front of Jon, and with Steve to the left, I had front row seats a few times but this was standing room only, I didn’t move throughout the entire show, many people buying beer, and then off to the Restroom, it’s not that often if ever I could touch the stage my musical hero’s were performing on. I will never forget that concert. I am sorry, but Anderson’s writing and voice is part and parcel to YES, I have seen the Howe version only because I love the music so much, but with Chris and Alan now in Heaven, the magic is long gone. But I still have the Music and memories, May the Spirit of YES live on well long after I am gone, because there is nothing being made today that is original and magical as YES. I am on the tale end of the Boomer’s I am so glad that I am. Sorry our Government screwed up climate change and other things. I live in a small house by choice and try to do my part. There is too much stuff on this planet 🌎 and it’s not going anywhere. It’s our HomeWorld.
