Hello, 4th day of use now and I must say that this VSSL java grinder is a pretty good, accurate and fast device, with a few small reservations anyway: -the foldable handle is not much stable even with the fat magnetic handle on (I eventually decided it's more convenient not to use it) and hopefully wouldn't suffer any damage caused by a false movement, -the limited capacity of 20g -a tight setting prevents all your coffee beans to be ground. As for keeping an accurate setting, the most obvious will be to stick it to the tightest for a daily use, count the clicks for an occasional coarser mode, and just remember the number of clicks to go back to your favourite setting.

Nice review. Thanks for the detailed anlysis. I will have a play with the settings to get a better understanding & feel for it as well.

thanks, does the grinder fit inside the Aeropress like the Rhino Coffee Gear Hand Grinder?
@TheRightRoast2 жыл бұрын
Yes it does!
@HankSolon2 жыл бұрын
@@TheRightRoast no it doesn't. If fits in the larger (outer) tube. But not in the stamp. My understanding is that there are travel grinders which even fit in the smaller tube (the stamp) which would really make it compact.

Big question to me is - does it fit inside an Aeropress like the Aergrind from MadeByKnock?
@Kvothe3 Жыл бұрын
Yes but you need to use it as the plunger. So take the plunger aeropress comes with out.

@@Kvothe3 Adding a seal boss to the bottom would just take it to perfection 😁 Might be a good aftermarket accessory 🤔

Just watching you press your aeropress down and it going really smoothly. When I press my aeropress it tends not to go smoothly but kind of sticks on the way. Any advice on this? Sorry, I know it’s a bit of an off point question!
@TheRightRoast4 жыл бұрын
I haven't had this issue myself but perhaps squeeze out the air (in the inverted position) first. Or try wetting the rubber stop on the pluger before inserting it...or maybe adjust the speed of your plunging-too hard or fast can cause irregular plunge speed.

Is it good for an espresso, like from a nanopresso?

I’m not much of an espresso drinker but I don’t think it’s ideal for very fine grinding as it’s geared towards filter coffee.

This was a live unboxing as opposed to the slick edited kind so my clumsiness remains in this video to remind you of its authenticity (and a bit of entertainment). But I take your point that following instructions more carefully would be prudent.
