Hope you guys enjoy the video, its me playing riffs of the top of my head so sorry if it gets a bit boring. I wanted to showcase some of the sounds of the VT bass pedal.
Video was recorded with a squier vintage modified jazz bass, roland duo capture ex interface and edited with audacity.

***** Thanks for your comments, the secret is Ernie ball Hybrid Slinky bass strings 😊 (45-105) I always buy back any tech 21 pedal I sell from time to time. I sold my BDDI and bought the programmable version a few months later. I say keep it and pick up the vt

Love the Goldfinger section on your demo. It's not often you hear someone cover "My girlfriend's shower sucks". I think you just sold me on this pedal

To me this pedal seems more Ampeg than the BDDI. Way more versatile. It's everything I love about the original VT Bass pedal with the ability to Blend The dry and wet signals for a perfect balance of natural bass tone and effected.

It is the reason why I enjoy playing through this pedal, that Ampeg sound. This is the only DI I give to soundguys.

visog Thank you for your comment, after some review of the "bite" button I found that it tightens up the bottom end. To my ears, the tone a tad punchier but nothing too noticeable.

Are you using for overdrive music or just clean? I'm looking for good analog sounding bass pedal and found this having plenty of good reviews. I got Zoom B3 but I don't feel right with the tone.(digital). Thanks!

hi mate. I have only ever tried to record bass into things like guitar rig and basic amp sims. but one thing they do is make every note different levels in volume that no compressor can touch. . so does this bass pedal do a good job at having a consistent volume? good enough for home studio?
@daviddreadfull
@daviddreadfull 8 жыл бұрын
This is a much better tool for recording when compared to amp sims as there is no lag or spikes in volume. Perfect DI for any home studio/live set up.

Thanks, I hope so. I find that with my bass recordings i always have to run the signal in parallel an then EQ them differently, like one for a sub boost with a high cut, and one with a middle boost and a bit of extra gain to push it out in to the mix.... the result is often a lot of woffly muffled rumble which barely resembles actual notes!! lol

The VTDI seems to be the more popular choice on most of the bass forums. I have never personally used the bassbone pedal.

Hey Chick Magnet! Hey was that WIZO as the beginning? Nice demo by the way 👍. I just got the original VT Bass pedal and man is it good, i play pop punk, skate punk, and emo stuff all in the 90's vein and the VT pedal makes my rig sound like an Ampeg 😀. I run it through a Hartke LH500 head and a GK 4X10 + Ampeg Classic 1x15 cab and i play either a Squire P Bass with Dimarzio pick ups or a Sterling SUB Stingray, even though my basses are entry level the VT bass pedal makes them sound like higher quality basses. I've never liked grit on a bass until a few years ago when i had a GK Backline 600 head that had a dirty channel and i found if you just put the right amount of grit it can sound pretty cool. I play bass, guitar, and drums and so does my 20 yr old son , we actually have a garage band called BROTHERSON that my younger brother also plays in mainly drums and that's when i play bass or guitar. If you want to check us out just look at my uploads on my channel, none of those videos are with the VT pedal or the Ampeg 1x15 because I just recently got those and we haven't practiced yet. Take care and God bless 👍

The bass is surprisingly a stock squire vintage modified model with no mods. Best $275 I have spent in a while! I use it as my main gig bass and leave my America bases at the house.

Character series VT Bass never had a blend knob. That’s what makes this pedal so great. You can get some interesting tones blending in some of the clean signal.
