This is such great point it's great to have both in the house. I love the feature that allows you to answer your cell phone calls, and being able to upload your contacts. I can't tell you how many times my phone has died and I didn't have a phone number I needed.

My parents have this phone! ANOTHER perk to have the vtech phone is that some people (like my parents) have terrible reception in their home. Once the calls are redirected to the vtech phone they don't have to deal with the patchy service!

We are a cell phone only home. Never thought about the fact the phone would be locked if our son needed it. Very cool that a landline phone can be synced to the cell.

just bought one of these in 2021. loving it so far. managed to connect my cell phone to it, but don't know how to access phone numbers in the cell phone.

We too only have cell phones and no house phones. Been thinking for awhile to add a land line back and the option of connecting to the cell is an added bonus.

I love the rabbit phones with cell phone connection. My parents need this, for sure!! They are so used to having a land line over the course of time, but they need to modernize!!

Sounds like the Vtech phone would come in very handy for me as my toddler loves my smartphone and often I've to fight her to get my phone back. Love how you can answer smartphone calls from Vtech and also have your contacts transferred from your cell.

If I needed to use two handsets for the same call, with headsets for each, can I? The intent is to allow two people in different parts of the house, talk to the same person while still hands-free and without using Speaker phone.

It's true, having only a cell phone has its pitfalls, especially during emergencies or if the cell tower was knocked down for any reason.

We do have a home phone but it's never charged and we never use it. I'd love to try this for cell phone conference calls though. Sometimes I hang up by accident (even when I'm using a headset) so not having the mute or end button right near you would be great.

I got mine yesterday, the main phone unit is great, but I'm still having trouble connecting the Bluetooth headset to the main unit. I've let it charge overnight to full capacity, I've pressed cell 1, then go into the menu and scroll to add headset, but it keeps coming back no headset found. What gives?

But then I had my heart attack, a 9-hour triple bypass, and ended up the hospital for 34 days, but since I live in Canada everything was covered, but I still can't remember hoe I did it, I think I went back and downloaded the manual on line, more detailed than what came with the phone.

I bought a att cordless phone set with Bluetooth. And not a cheap one however my calls cut in and out. My cell sits right next to the base. Did anything like that happen to you with the Vtech set cause i am thinking about trying this one out instead

I think having the cordless home phone connected to a cell phone is a brilliant idea. We still have a home phone but both hand sets have died. This would be the perfect replacement for it. If I'm using the VTech cordless phone with my cell how does it affect my cell phone minutes?

Demetra Overton From what I noticed, your cell phone is still in use during a connect to cell call with the handset. So I assume you'll still be using cell minutes. But if it's a concern, you could always just use your VTech cordless phone to make a regular car and that saves minutes too.

No, you don't need an app. Just follow the directions on the VTech phone.

OK don't get me wrong here FLIPPPPP there are your props for showing folks the new product is cool however why not just forward your home number to your cell phone orrrrrrrr research the cheaper products that work better and do the same thing kinda like an emulator for a cell phone I have a Sega genesis emulator on my lg cell phone and I have 800 roms aka games that are a total of 1.02 gb of space which is not a lot for 800 games :) so why not a home phone that can take an emulator orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr one of those free emergency phone that's free from uncle SAM :) ? here check this Bluetooth to land-line connector out for 10 bucks :-D enjoy
