Yeah the Subaru is great for car camping the only challenge I have is if I've got to do everything in the car it's tough because you can not sit up in the back in the way I have it set up right now I used to sit in the backseat on the one but now I have it with some items on that side I might go back for the winter where I can sit in the backseat and cook but I cooked spaghetti and meatballs tonight in the front seat on the passenger side that video will be up on Thursday

Yeah back in the '70s that's when solar really started taking off it was a kind of do-it-yourself back then and then it started to gain popularity in the late 90s early 2000s

Yes Jeff the solar panels work out perfect and even better at certain times of the year setting up in the shade in late November not so good LOL but if I would have got the panels out earlier in the day they would have done much better

Sean so far they're the best set of panels that I have seen or used I do have 200 water solar that I was using with the alpha ESS but these are a little more rigid and easier to set up

From my experience the panel is very good I'm not sure how a cheaper one would work but then again I have had a 60 watt panel that put out more than it was rated it's very hard to determine as I only know this one

Hey, Random…wondering why you have the pro version? I see by the specs that the output voltage is 48v on it and the other 220 unit is 19v. I can’t seem to understand the reason for the difference. Can you enlighten me? I would much appreciate it. BTW, like your kind of videos.

I sent this question to VTOMAN. They answered that the 220Pro or the 400 must be used on the Flashspeed 1500 as they output 48 and 40 volts respectively. So while that helped me, their website doesn’t exactly spell it out that the 1500 ONLY can accept the 220pro or 400. I replied back with that suggestion. Now I (we) know.

I just got a vtoman 1500 and its gone from 100% to 43% in 1 day only charging my 12v cooler and 1 laptop charge....???

If you had just plugged in your refrigerator for the first time and it has been hot out it will run longer to cool down the temperature you have set. But once the temperature is at refrigerator temp it doesn't draw as much power and will extend the battery longer I found that adding an ice pack to the cooler when I plug it in for the first time helps to bring the temperature down more quickly. Their customer support can also answer many questions concerning the product. I have mine in the vehicle at all times plugged into the car cigarette lighter to charge walleye Drive

@TheRenFord1 I don't think it is an issue I think you just were drawing more power than you anticipated for a longer period of time current and I think once the refrigerator is at a consistent temperature where it doesn't have to draw power as often I think you should be good however if you have concerns maybe reach out to customer support as for uses I put mine through the rigors in fact on this Thursday night's video I have a camp that I do with the Subaru and use the unit to charge my cameras and other equipment while I am out camping along with cook a meal in the morning and an electric Pot and also heat up water with an electric kettle

It was around 40 degrees when i plugged it in. And I kept it unplugged for a few hours last night. Since I posted that comment 1 hour ago its now at 40%. The only thing plugged in is the 12v cooler

@@TheRenFord1 yeah maybe give customer service a call as I can only give you my experience not quite sure how much energy your 12-volt refrigerator drawers and how often it is kicking on to maintain that temperature I am sorry I couldn't be more of a help

This time of year the solar production is low but depending on where you are and the time of year it does a great job especially if you're out boondocking but there's a lot of factors that go into producing energy from the Sun clouds and other things like Shadows that have to be taking into consideration but in full sun it does a great job 220 Watts
