God this game goes SO hard. There's still another stream's worth of content if you ever want to do another one: - There's a bonus campaign called "The Lost Chapter" on the far right of the Story Mode chapter select. 5 songs and overworld gameplay. - The "Playlist" tab has another 20 songs not found in the main campaign. All bangers. - In addition to those 20, there's a 4-song collab campaign with Shovel Knight at the bottom of all the Playlist songs. There's also multiplayer! You can join random online rooms or create your own public/private rooms that others can join to do 3-song Challenge Runs (2 normal, 1 boss)

37:45 The way Noisestorm plays with the drums and turns the beat into some kind of breakbeat with drums that you would normally find in like trap, dubstep, and DnB, and then adding the 808 bass to it is dope. In case you're unaware, there's a currently in early access game called Project Arrhythmia, which is basically JSAB, but with a level editor! There are plans for a story mode too, but that's still in early development. If your curious, both game devs endorse the other game, they basically just had the same idea at the same time.

oh since you enjoyed JS&B so much i'd highly recommend another game called Project Arrhythmia. conceptually is VERY similar, bullet hell with a heavy focus on music (both games were in development at the same time while being unaware of the other surprisingly enough) yet with 2 big differences: 1. it has more than 2 colors, so levels can have a LOT more different effects or even more animated bosses or cutscenes (kinda) and 2. it has a level editor. so while its story mode isn't released yet there are HUNDREDS or fanmade levels, full campaigns, animated bosses and more with varying degrees of difficulty so yeah i'd recommend PA a lot, both JS&B and PA are REALLY fun ^u^ also idk if somebody might have mentioned it in chat, but JS&B has a ton of extra, unlockable levels, maybe twice or even thrice the amount of levels from story mode, including also a secret extra chapter (that was originally intended to be part of the game, then got scrapped, then readded years ago in the last dlc to date. you can find it if you go to story mode and scroll _aaaaaaaall_ the way to the right). a lot of those are way harder than the ones in the story mode, yet also really fun -(especially in hardcore mode)- (oh also fun fact, very few levels are possible to complete dashless with 0 hits btw, between those Cascade and all 4 levels from the Tutorial world, including the boss. in online mode that gives you a little reward) (oh also you can play still not-unlocked levels in online mode btw if youre lucky enough for the game to put them within the song choices) (sorry for long comment, love gaem ^u^")

I did play the lost chapter, and I have seen other comments recommending Project Arrhythmia, I just need to smoosh the games i currently have going first (really need to finish wukong and the elden ring dlc) I was very enamored by the story, and while the gameplay IS fun, i feel like i need more story to want to keep going in other levels. Something about the little shape friends made me happy. D:

This game is absolutely my favorite! Im so happy you found and like it as well! Im sure many people of told you but there is a whole secret chapter and some other levels you unlock getting points. Will you be doing thouse as well? And if you enjoyed this game alot i suggest Project Arrhythmia. Its like JSAB but people make the levels and the difficulty is all over the place. I will warn you you could get copyrighted by some songs though. Anyways thank you for keeping this game and the community alive. I've been wanting to rewatch this game, KZbin new that meant recommend this to me and I'm glad they did, great vod! Fun fact about Annihilate, back during the development of the game the developers didn't know if they could get the rights to used Destroid 8 Annihilate, but they had already made the level. So rather than remake the level, one of the song artists (Danimal Cannon) made a song called Prepare for Destruction that sounds similar enough to Annihilate to fit the same bossfight but different enough to be a completely different song, like alternate universe Annihilate

When Blixer (The boss, that's what fans call him) lasers Lachhh's name at the beginning, the text "I didn't design this! :(" is actually because Lachhh didn't design the sprite for the boss, the game's artist, Em, did. Em also wanted to give the boss a less intimidating appearance, so to make him less intimidating Em gave them cat ears. The boss is canonically a catboy
