I absolutely agree. Crazy people have turned the term gender equality from men and women being equals to bringing down men and putting women on a pedestal, which is the complete opposite of equality and not what the majority of society wants. These crazy people are partially responsible for how much man hate there is in society (I say partially because there’s been man hate for ages but it’s gotten to an all time high now). Most women aren’t men haters, but even then the ones that are are also partially responsible for why men are becoming less interested in dating as well.

I had a friend on Facebook who pretty regularly would post on how crappy men were. I wasn't surprised when she posted one day how upset she was when she admitted to a guy friend she was interested in him and he said he was flattered, but he wasn't interested because she was so negative about men. She had plenty of friends siding with her that she was too good for him and I couldn't help but think 'no wonder he wasn't interested when you're always going on about how bad men are'.

Personally i wasnt offended like at all but it does make me wonder if it was a group of men saying they hate women even in jest would that be tolerated in the workplace? Ive noticed there is numerous issues with how society at large treats men and if you even bring those up you will be mocked or treated with disdain but even with those issues i never thought women were privileged because i know they also face issues unique to them i wish people would realize every single person faces issues instead of shunning them for something they cant control.

Men arent innocent in the matter but ultimately men will do what they believe women want them to be in order to have that connection and relationship But when the women themselves dont know what they want and are preaching about men being something but not understanding that they dont understand what that means and ultimately hate the men giving them what they "want" and rejecting men for it....that breeds a cycle

Yeah, the amount of generalizing on men is insane there. Unfortunately, it seems like there are a lot of mysogynistic takes on in the comments section too. I agree that disparaging men on average is bad, but we can’t forget that women do have a history of being oppressed. And current events, looking at the red states. Best way to settle this would be to make it so that men and women are seen as equal, but people can’t seem to do that.

The problem I have with people like Vivi is that they see the world through this warped lens of identity politics. Any time I see someone unironically start going on about "white male privilege" or "cis privilege" or anything like that, it just makes me roll my eyes, because I know they're full of crap. Because they're trying to apply something that's specific to a country universally. If a country has a majority of one ethnicity, of course it's going to be an advantage to be a member of that ethnicity. But that's true for EVERY country. In African countries, it's an advantage to be black. In Asia, it's an advantage to be Asian, in Central/South America, it's an advantage to be Hispanic, and in European countries (and the US/Canada) it's an advantage to be white. But to those people, the advantages of everywhere else don't exist, and ONLY white people have an advantage. Because they can't see outside of their own country. They also forget that in the west now, being white (and straight and male) actually opens you up to being the target for constant racism, sexism, and bigotry. White people are the only ethnicity that it's "acceptable" to be racist towards, and people love to smugly try and claim that you "can't be racist against white people", because they keep trying to redefine "racism" to allow it. I feel so bad for white guys growing up in modern western society. Sure, being white in a majority-white country offers some small advantage. But the fact that you're openly HATED just for being white and male is sickening. And people seem to think that this is totally acceptable. Hell, I've seen people claim unironically that even the most powerful, wealthiest, and successful black person STILL has less power and privilege than a homeless white person living under a bridge and scrounging food out of dumpsters just to survive. It's insane. If these people want racism and sexism to end, it has to end universally. You can't single one race/sex out and claim that it's okay to hate on them, while expecting them to just sit there and take it. But that would require actual empathy, and most of these shrieking morons on twitter have absolutely zero.

I think older men don't really worry about bigots like her because we already know what we're about - we've lived long enough that some angry young woman isn't going to make us question our own worth. I worry a lot more about young men being constantly told they're evil and undeserving of success simply for being men. Society is actually cultivating self-loathing in half the population and the young men still figuring things out will internalize this view. I think it's important in this day and age to find mentors that have traits they'd like to cultivate, hopefully moving towards less reliance on external validation and more on a sense of innate self-worth that comes with thoughtfulness, experience, work and learning.

@TyrantWesker
@TyrantWesker Жыл бұрын
Last I heard, the "pay gap" DOES exist in a sense, but not in the way they think it does. They seem to believe women literally make less money than men doing the exact same job with the exact same performance, when the truth is that there's only a pay gap when you look at all the money made by women versus all the money made by men. That's simply because men work more overtime than women on average, not to mention that they perform all the hard labor jobs that pay quite well. Women, by comparison, often work fewer hours so they can spend more time with their kids and tend to pursue fields that just pay less in general.

Also, and this is rather significant (and somewhat indicative of another issue that is actually a fair assessment) the vast majority of high level executives are men, and those are the sorts to get 6 figure salaries and bonuses, which is amazing for people with an agenda as they include the statistical outliers to try make there point.
@Orphim
@Orphim Жыл бұрын
@@Santisima_Trinidad Again though, that's due more to a tendency of focus rather than an actual bias. Women and men prioritize different things for a job on average. Stay motivated to be the best "you" that you can be, and live the life you see fit. That goes for women too. We're all just trying to make it through existence; so offer support when you can; and empathy when it's all you can manage. Understanding goes far further than people think. There's no focus on fixing the issues and making people's lives better, only on tearing down those who are perceived to be oppressors or privileged. I legitimately believe that these people do not want these issues fixed, because then they'd have nothing to complain about. If no such issue exists, then they will invent one just so they can feel like their life has a purpose. Ultimately, Vi outed herself as a collectivist. Collectivist doesn't necessarily mean Marxist/Communist either, BTW. A collectivist is simply someone who focuses on the group (i.e. a collective) over the individual. This isn't necessarily a matter of economics, but of culture and it's not just Marxists who did that. Nazis tended to subordinate the individual to the needs of the State (i.e. a group/collective), thus making them a collectivist ideology. As Americans (and because I'm American, I can only speak for Americans) are generally all about the primacy of the Individual (the group's important sure, but ultimately not as important as the individual) so they tend to reject collectivist ideologies, like Intersectionality (i.e. the core of woke culture). So what's happening now was always inevitable. You need to understand that Vi will never be convinced that she is wrong because her fundamental world view makes it so that she simply cannot understand the notion that the individual might be more important than a given group. Thus, it's pointless to engage with her. In short, she has a completely alien world view to most people (at least in the US).
@MelodyRose96

Huh... Never actually thought of it that way, but I think you're right. Collectivism is seeped in a lot of "woke" politics, whether they realize it or not. No wonder they have a hard time promoting it in the US. Individuality and freedom is so much a part of American culture, that any attack on a group feels so much more personal because it feels like they're attacking you and what you stand for. It makes a lot of sense to me why people get so mad over this now.

I'm a woman (and an ex-feminist) who doesn't live in a first world country, and in where I live violence against women is unfortunately still a common thing, BUT... Even in where I live, I do NOT tolerate misandrists. Even the most legitimate concern or trauma does not justify lumping the members of a whole gender together and vilifying them and treating them badly. I stand against those who call it "male violence" or "male abuse", that shit is so cringe, so inflammatory and so divisive. We don't need division, we need conversation and understanding. I will never tolerate the toxicity of people, especially of those who claim to fight for equal rights. Hating men is NOT the way. No matter where you live, hatred does not solve hatred. I just wish more women could understand this, I don't know why it's so difficult for many of us... Also double standards... just don't get me started on those. Even in a country like mine, "positive" discrimination and women thinking it's okay to treat men badly because we were/are "the oppressed ones", will only end in disaster. I don't want to be discriminated in ANY way. I want my merit to take center stage, not my gender.

Let's talk about this privilege thing. Men get drafted to foreign countries where there's a high chance they can die while other people gets to stay at home and be comfortable. Does that privilege need to be addressed? What about jobs that require a lot of labor and is very dangerous? Almost if not all of the people who work those jobs are men. Are the people who don't have these kinds of job privileged?
@YuYuYuna_

The sad thing is, the way they would respond to "why is it that men get drafted and women don't?" is they would say "Well it's old men who start the wars in the first place soooo..." as if that defeats the original argument.

I'm white and ive had less privilege than black people in some places or situations. the nuance is that this is an American situation that nobody understands obviously. I grew up around black people and as far as i have ever seen they are racist against whites (not all) whites are racist (not all) everyone only sees what they want to validate their personal view. I have been harassed by police and turned down for jobs. Its crazy how narrow sighted people are to fit into their social justice bs

I knwo we are here talking about racism, but i want to vent something and i feel like here we can talk about stuff like this: I find it so unfair how it's hard to find job in the current times because either your studies don't necesary cover all the current needs that companies are looking for in employs, or they look for stuff like "we are looking for graphic designers with no experience, our requirements are 5 years of experience in another company", worst part around the city where i'm looking i hardly find anything avaiable...it's frustrating because i don't want to be a burden in the house and at least contribute with some money.

Random unsolicited advice: just apply to those places anyway, and don't be modest or Conservative when applying. Overhype the hell out of yourself, call a cousin at a good firm and get them to lie about you being a great worker, and carpet bomb every organisation you're interested in with an application. The reason for this is that companies know damn well you are lying through your teeth on applications, and most of the requirements on postings are BS anyway. It's the interview which matters. Once you're in the interview, have some answers to common questions prepared (a script is highly professional), tell them if they ask that you have a couple of other applications going out but that you are particularly partial to this company (contingencies are professional, being a second choice is unprofessional), and try to ask them some questions in return so you look actually invested in the role. Most of ehay applying for a job js is just weeding out the weak willed losers who won't apply or hype themselves up, and eliminating the tech bros and feminazis who will be horribly toxic in the workplace. You are none of those things, just act like it and they'll snap you up.

3:45 I was thinking exactly the same thing. These tweets sound exactly like they came straight from a book or college text book written by a person living in a 'progressive' cult, and when Vivi's called out on it she doubles down. If she has one redeeming feature (if I can call it that) it appears that she actually streams unlike the other vtweeters who live terminally online on Twitter. Edit: Oh! She's a loli! Went to college, before going to university… and had a woman friend that said “you can’t be racist against white people because they aren’t a minority”… she’d learned that in a class from a woman teacher… That’s why my science buddies and I would stay away from those fake ass sciences lmao. I remember having to take a “human anthropology” class, and the first few days were spent on “we are an important discipline” and then making us read a book that talked about “rituals” and how a surgeon washing their hands a specific way before surgery was a “ritual” (news flash, they almost all wash their hands the same way to keep it fucking constant, clean and habitual lmaooo)… lost all respect for that discipline at that moment.
