Hi Vu as long time RX0 II owner and have been down the rabbit hole i’ll give you some recommendations for the camera first buy a cage it will stop the overheating in 4K so you can film in 4K all day and second about the batteries you get a couple of Nikon cameras Batteries named NIK.EN-EL 19 as they can hold up to 2000Ah of extra power And as well about the focusing your can buy your self a Sony controller named Sony RMT-P1BT Remote Control Bluetooth then you can focus in manual settings But with a one press custom button focus from close to infinity easily with a custom button ( C1 ) or dot button on camera body (●) So in menu under custom key then select one-push AF ) this works only on manual for some reason so then it’s just a single press of the button so focus and as well switch to Photos or zoom in and out on the controller in video so I hope you love the rx0 as much as I have it’s a an amazing camera when all kitted out

I'm surprised that a Nikon battery will work with a Sony camera! Will definitely look into this.

I don’t know about the battery comment. I’ve searched the internet and can’t find a 2000 mAh battery. I’m seeing a 1200mAh Kastar version of the NIK.EN-EL 19 but nothing higher than that. Sometimes third party batteries have a higher mAh rating, but in the end last just as long, or even shorter than the OEM battery. Does this 2000mAh battery exist?

Vu, for BTS do you recommend this one? How does it look like in low light? Can you manually insert setting? Like drop shutter speed, iso can we do it? That last videographer thing is hilarious.

Nice review. Always been disappointed with the screw-on wide-angle adapters like that, you see a noticeable decrease in IQ/corner sharpness? Also curious if the AF gets less confident with it? Hopefully it’s all good, the last one I had was barely worth it due to above-mentioned issues. Thx m8!

That video sharpness you get from the footage isn't from small sensors but from how manufacturers choose to bake in that processed look. Its completely on purpose in order for you to think that you have to buy a "hogh end" camera to get that cleaner better look

I have thought about it .. I know it works really well. But I feel the stabilization as is looks good to me. I don't need it to be super smooth. Looks unnatural

Catalyst browse doesn't work with RX0 II since it doesn't capture gyro data

Catalyst Browse works splendidly with the RX0mii. I have the camera and it is my goto to stabilize walking around 4K footage. I will say it does take longer (about twice as long) to stabilize 4K footage from my RX0mii than my A7C or A7IV.

Yeah it’s kinda uncomfortable how close it is to vlog without the wide lens, it’s like my osmo pocket a bit too tight for vlogging

Ya i want something small that does better in low light, this is probably the answer, does it have any zone focus options or do you have to hit the auto focus every time? Just wondering if im shooting something in low light id hate for the af to mess up and me not know.

There are two zones. Close and far. Should do the job for you

Once you focus on something... It stays there. It doesn't continuously focus.

Yeah I agree with the action camera for me I put my go pro hero 7 in a cage and then I use a mist filter and I’m planning on getting a +2 close up filter 52mm in order to focus closer. But if I put it in linear I am limited to 2.7k but your 1080 is looking amazing. Do you use nd filters or for a vlog if doesn’t matter to get motion blur

I just started looking into the rx0 ii before I go to Iceland as a backup B cam. How is the audio are you able to control the mic input or sensitivity levels, within the camera for an external mic? If you know off hand!
