TRACKDAY PREPARATION ESSENTIALS GUIDE **INFOMENTARY**

Is your first trackday imminent or are you considering it... No matter if you have a Fiesta ST a BMW or a full prepped race car. Preparing yourself and your car is really important!!
Sometimes it can be intimidating to get involved with your very first trad day or track session. Getting yourself and your car prepared before arrival means not only can you relax and enjoy the day but you can be confident your car is as well prepared as possible and you and others around you are going to be safe and enjoy the day.
Here is a small guide to how we prepared the VUDU BMW M4 ahead of a day out at the track at Croft Race Circuit.

Also, would you recommende the EBC Bluestuff for day to day use, or would they only really be an option if you're doing 3/4 track days per year? I'll be doing a series of videos on stopping power, as the M140i setup is a little... lacklustre, starting with lines & fluid, then most likely pads!

Great video, am still struggling to whether to use my own car or just to use the rented car for my first track day ever. Keep thinking about wear and tear of my chassis, windshield cracks, tyres, brakes etc

I just did some time in my bone stock mx5 mk3! I would recommend looking for an event that offers "track time" that you can book. (Japfest is what I did, but plenty of events do) I was able to book 20 minutes of time for £40 + helmet rental (£20 I think?). While that may feel like a lot to pay for such a short amount of time, especially when you get ushered off after 20 - 30 minutes, when I actually got off the track and stopped, I realised I was much more exhausted that I thought. Having a hard cut off so you don't overdo it and send the car into the wall was a good thing. Plus, if you realise you absolutely hate it, you haven't invested £100s into something for no reason.

great video and helped alot. I have DSG car tho, gonna be doing first track day soon, so with regards to coming in from laps and letting brakes cool down, i know manual - can stick it in gear with handbrake off, but how about DSG? - someone said throw it in park but i thought that can lock brakes on still?

ds2500’s arent as good as i was told. They dont last and they overheat quick
