What a legend. Great presentation and thank you to the team for their efforts.

I still don't understand why Vue isn't the #1 JS framework still. It is just perfect, and the team is amazing and focused on really important things. I use it, as much as I use Go for my API's, and they both minimalistic and share the same principle - just get shit done, don't care too much about implementation details and other stuff. You just do stuff

I think if the vue team makes a better mobile library it would. I havent heard any news on Vue Native.

@@yabuking84 a mobile library for vue will be the best thing ever!

@yabuking84 React crushes all frameworks with its web version, not native. The mobile market in general is difficult and does not deliver the results you would like.

@@coder_one Concordo com você, mas para mim foi por causa do react-native que eu migrei do Vue para o React. 🤷🏻♂

Depend on how you define #1. Popularity? Job availability has quite a lot to do with it. Then with the current traction React has, it's just snowballed into more libraries and tutorials available.

So much respect for Evan in the way he's lead Vue through the years.

one of the assets of Vue is his creator who speaks very well in english. On the other hand, i created a framework that doesn't require build step, with runtime type checks and coercion, auto reactivity in all variables except const 😂

I would suggest Quasar Framework to the list, it also uses Vite and it is pretty nice project

ok realised i was on nightly build, it does work on non nightly build, but alot of time goto definition stop working. restarting ts is alike a regular thing. maybe ive too many types in my project

What's wrong with it?

Also the only thing I hate in the Vue ecosystem, but in recent versions it is now super performant + usable. Sometimes still failed to start the LSP in a monorepo but a window reload will fix it.

@@roodood It fails to work and the error message doesn't help you at all. I did a project and at the due day Volar stopped working. I had to rewrite the entire project in Svelte. I love vue but Volar has so much bug and I'm not alone

I really wish they put the focus on authentication and authorization. I know it's out of scope but it's always out of radar but very important for almost every app

One think I honestly don't understand is that if we have a javascript framework (I have started with vue this week and already made an excelent choise) why don't you guys pair in laravel + tailwind + vue full crazy stack and working 2gether. Maybe I'm fresh and there is a lot of personality involved but cmon. There is people charging for dark mode... Here we doing hystory (I don't like livewire and alpine mess, and it's fking mess). Vue + vite + laravel + tailwind is my final stop. There is maybe some cases where tailwind is not well suited l, but you have to work more with Lara backend team in order to establish. Vue is mature as hell and powerful. ❤And ❤

It’s about having the same language. One dev writing js instead of writing js and php.
