I'd like to see a video on your ideal setup for each faction. I think a lot of us could use some guidance on which units/vehicles work well together and what the most effective way to spend points is.

That’s the thing, there is an infinite amount of ways to utilize tactics, and counters for each. Theres no single advantage. Thats what makes this game amazing

If you are already somewhat familiar with RTS games and you know the use-cases of each unit type, I think the best way is to play a few rounds and always reflect which unit you did not use or which you would have needed afterwards. This way the deck incrementally improves over time. I really hope in the final game there will be a playing mode which isn't ranked so you can try out new decks and new styles of playing

@@wowdude3749 I think you (and everyone else who replied) is right, after playing for a day i must have changed my battle groups around like 10 times. I see Vulcan posted a video on battle group set ups (good info) but i have had a lot of fun just trying out new combinations, it is a play test after all so might as well try everything out.

Seeing that they have the ASV-30 for the marines that are just about to come into service, I’m surprised they used the M8 AGS (canceled before ever entering service) for the airborne instead of the M10 Booker that’s also just coming into service as well with airborne troops. I suppose it’s because the M8 is air droppable while the booker is not

Yes, the M72A10 struggles against armored vehicles... because it's the anti-structure warhead variant of the LAW. IMO that confusion's on the game though for making the decision to allow primarily anti-infantry HE/thermobaric weapons to fire on armored vehicles while having them use the same quick recognition symbol as HEAT weapons.

I'm so glad to see this game back, really looking forward to it. The M1150 Assault Breacher looks absolutely insane and I'm very intrigued to see how it eventually ends up being integrated into the game properly.

On the miclic: Even without mines having a thousand pounds of c4 going off next to your infantry is a bad experience. A single rocket could probably erase entire city blocks.

The M1A2 in game terms is practically identical to the M1A1HC, and that is fine. The M1A1 FEP is over a decade more modern than both, which is why it is significantly improved.

The extra armor kits on all the Abrams variants adds a coaxial M2 .50 caliber gun, just in case the Abrams didn't have enough guns on it already.

I desperately hope units in the roster we saw in earlier vids you released make a comeback. And by god the F-22 better be back in on full release. If the Kid gets wind he isn't in the game, he's gonna break out of that hangar and intercept somebody... good lord god forbid. All that said, I also hope we see more in the way of DIFFERENT stuff along with the tried and true. For example, seeing the airborne infantry with the M7 Spear, XM250 AND the newer IHPS helmet while you're able to equip Marines with the SRAW launcher is a nice breath of fresh air. Something we don't see in a lot of military games set in contemporary times.

This is very informative, thanks! The units available in this game are second to none, however if I have to nitpick, I find it a little odd that we only have the D variant of the Apache. Let's hope the E will be available in the official release? EDIT: No A-10? That's odd. Again let's hope that comes in the final release.

Really liking the look of this game, although I really wish they would implement some realistic ranges on the weapon systems. The Javelin having such a short range, and the Abrams having only 1400m range feels so wrong LOL. Especially with abrams easily hitting 3km shots against T-72's during desert storm.

Kinda funny they have M8 tank for airborne in this game......in reality US military rejected it and chose its rival M10 Booker for its airborne tank instead, I guess this game predates it lol

The M8 in BA is the original version, the one from the 80s-90s. The one that was a contender for the MPF that lost to the M10 Booker is an updated version of the M8 AGS.

Mech rifles don't feel very useful. They aren't large enough to really make a impact if their Bradley gets popped in inf vs inf engagements. Honestly feel like they'd benefit from being a little bit cheaper

No it wont, these types of games don't work on consoles very well. Simpler ones like Halo wars do but this too graphically and micro intensive.

IMO all these games do this. They act like towed guns don't exist. A really weird omission since towed artillery still actually makes up the backbone of even the US Army's field artillery, and as we're seeing in Ukraine is still the main weapon of the 21st century battlefield.
