When bands like this had nothing (technology, money) but their souls were fueled by youthful enthusiasm and passion that it can't avoid being translated into the music. Most bands from that era when they mature and try to be serious to be accepted by their adult peers or become too conscious of themselves and starting to be ashamed, they lose that fire in their eyes, and end up becoming so out of touch with their best selves that when nostalgia hits back, it's too late, the spirit is already tamed and it's so hard to break the force of habit... but well, the music, that's something that always remains

The best way to play like metalica is to never learn how to play your instruments correctly. Then recruit a member of exodus to try to fill the shoes that the guy with all the talent was forced out

Agree,Megadeth is a way better band in just about every way. Kinda a nonsequitr though and I doubt these guys had any formal training either.

I love it. Savage. I think "Bonded By Blood" was better than any of Metallica or Megadeth's albums though.
