Hey everyone,
Hope you’re all doing great ! Only a week and already after my previous Oshi no Ko release and here we are with a new exciting project !
This time this I’ve been working on a collaboration with Genshin Impact in the context of the recent update on Fountain’s fate ! (not saying more … that’s yours to discover !)
For this project, I was suggested to give an alternative take on La Vaguelette, recently released by Genshin Impact, rather exploring the bonds between two of the main characters !
This meant I was offered to freely compose my own melody over the original instrumental and writing my own lyrics.
Séïa, who had helped me tons on Samudrartha’s lyrics, also helped me, by writing almost all the lyrics of this song, more than I can ever thank her for (and sorry for the small tweaks hehehehe ...). She also took proper time to explain me the whole lore around Fontaine and all the characters.
Of course, I couldn’t leave this song without a 350 background vocals (that’s not true … but some people might understand what I’m refering to here) to give the song some more depth.
The video was quite tricky to edit ngl … I tried visually express as much as possible, but also trying to not to show too much (didn’t wanna spoil you guys) so … I hope you’ll appreciate the effort !! (that took me 3 straight days + filming, while having hell of a deadly week at work orz)

@@rossa8469 I'm just thinking about it, you know, in the canon Furina was just playing a role, these were not her words and they were not about neuvillette, so an alternative version would not make sense. And if we talk about collaboration - I would say that it would be like with Cecilia Cara - she was invited, she was given the text and she sang, here where all the work was done by 2 people - text, music, singing, etc. This person had not previously Genshin impact content, so his creativity is a good way to attract his French audience to Genshin Impact, regular advertising

This is an absolutely gorgeous song. I like that u use an alternative melody for your lyrics so that is can compliment the original rather than compete with it, showing that the two songs are 2 sides of the same coin. Vous savez ce qui me touche le plus avec Furina et Neuvillette ? En 500 ans, il est le seul visage à ne jamais avoir changé. Furina est une humaine ayant un esprit d'humain, et il est incapable de se souvenir de 500 ans de visages. Je pense que c'est pour ça que lors de "ce" passage de la quête, sur cette scène, il n'y avait même pas des PNJ pour représenter les personnes à qui elle parlait : elle est incapable de se souvenir de leur visage après tant de temps. Mais Neuvillette est resté le même en 500 ans. Cela doit être quelque chose de réconfortant. Tous deux portaient le fardeau de la solitude de leur situation ; tous deux voués à vivre au-delà de n'importe qui, mais ensemble.

I think that is what made immortality or long life span as curse, especially when you fond or love some mortal or alone, everyone will be gone but you stay the same, alone. But when you have companion, that will be different, you will be less lonely. . I guess almost all book potray immortality or very long life span as this curse, even Netflix Sandman that portray someone who love of his immortality, he wait for Dream to comeback to the restourant/bar to talk with him once in a hundred years. It means the only one that made him sane is a companion that he met once in a hundred years.

100% sure in any normal stories we would've already won if Genshin wasn't too self-inserty designed prioritizing the character's interaction with the Main Character Imagine this narrative: Two Immortals who worked together for 500 years, loves humanity and it’s elements yet hindered with their own conditions with her needing to act not as her own human self(despite being derived basically from an entity similar to Neuvi who really loves humanity) and the other who wants to understand humans more because of his inherent disassociation with Humanity and is now responsible for guiding humans by taking over Furina’s job now they are free to pursue these things they couldn’t or yet to do, both needing teaching/learning to do so though not in similar level, Neuvillette can learn from Furina not just of her (now) honest insight about humans but also experience about humanity and guiding, that’s an easy narrative for them to stick together for the betterment of Fontaine and for the plot to develop a fitting ending that uses the themes it presented (if anyone here is daring enough to suggest Furina doesn’t care about Fontaine anymore, you’re wrong). given all of it’s elements, humanity’s romanticism is it’s most sophisticated quality relative to any other creatures, (romanticism is a wide subject there are many stuff about it’s principles and such online), part of human romanticism is well “romanticism (as in love)” relating to it is also potentially crucial in understanding certain human conflicts, an important part of his job, who else would be the most fitting one to explore this with but the free-est woman in Fontaine that he had half a millennia of dynamic with? Furina isn’t selfish as to shoo away a Neuvillette asking for advices, something she has ample experience/proficiency and would barely affect her freedom, it wouldn’t be a hindrance if presented as something she’s willing to do, it’s also I would assume a very fulfilling purpose, something everyone needs which she’s shown to be missing as well. She could tell him about her adventures as a human and given their long history it’s safe to assume He would be among the(if not THE) people she’s most comfortable with, these interactions can be excused as her teaching him or just sharing more about human world, in story writing this is basically an ammo for various developments iykwim setting the self-insert nature of the narrative currently or without the MC being portrayed as a possible partner for the characters(all 459 of them) I don’t see any other route for this kind of story. (if portrayed in different medium)

Ça fait bizarre d'entendre une version différente la première fois, mais la mélodie et les paroles sont vraiment belles.
