just to add to the tips in the video. 1. you can get 2 extra free bifrost slots by getting "Bifrost Key" item from reputation (daily tasks) and collectables rewards. 2. upgrading Galleon(starting ship) instead of trying to get/upgrade other ships is the way to go, since galleon gives you equal resistances to all hazard waters instead of focusing on one thing like all other ships. 3. crafting tools can get 1 random "affix" when you craft/buy them and one of the options is "you cant be stunned(staggered/interrupted) while collecting, which is a must-have if you dont want to be annoyed to all hell while gathering grass/chopping trees, so just buy new tools for 1.5k silver from the npc untill you get this affix. If you care about life skills ofc...

I already have 3 bifrost slots due to the founders pack. Do I then have the option to have 5 bifrost keys in total?

@@freespirit1210 you have 1 "default" slot, 2 slots due to "subscription" from founders pack (those are temporary, you will lose them if you ever drop subscription), 2 more from collectables, for a total of 5, yes. Dont forget the "song of return" that teleports you to a major city of your choice, which is pretty much a 6th bifrost key.

Thank you, you're only one out of 5 "tips for beginners" videos that I have watched that have answered my only concern and question. Which is "how difficult is it to reset your skill point/tree?". All other 4 youtubers would just blast me with which skill I should focus and why, but never told me to experiment considering the skill reset was frigging FREE. Like, I'm 100% sure many people would rather try skills up or see it in action that just watch 20-45mins of said content creator and taking their word for it. I'm sure 95% they are right, but there's PVP, PVE and raids so their set up is not optimize.

@@FervorGaming Just type lost ark tips or beginners/new players and you will probably see them. I'm just shocked that they would talk in details about every else, but forget that NOT everyone had the chance to try beta or play in the Russian/Korean servers. I mean, trying your skills is just as important as choosing your class WHICH is why I'm baffled that they forgot to mention skills can be reset at any time. I heard some of them say that you could have multiple setups with different tripods for raids, pvp and pve. But, I don't think I heard the word "Free Skill Resets" or experiment with them with no repercussion.

just want to let you know because i am a user in S.Korea for Lost Ark do all the quest (i mean ALL) because in the end you need them done for other linking quest. Also when ever you go to an island do all the quest they have there also because some will give you island globe ( don't know what they are called in the ENG version). When you finish all the quest in any island you can see new quest in the daily quest for other loot/item. What i mean new quest it is a daily quest where you would need to do it daily to get the gauge up so you can earn skill point potions, new quest scrolls to build boats and est.

Small side note, dont get disheartened if you get duplicate cards. You need them to enhance cards and level up its ability. Deck of 6 cards each awakened 5 times will give you its 30 awakening skill, the best possible ability that set can do. This is indicated by the diamond looking things underneath each card, these become highlighted each time you enhance. You'll also need the card xp offered from quests and rapport rewards to enhance :)

Can I buy the starter pack even after creating an account? I didn't want to right away cause have no idea if I will enjoy this or not. I'm a Tera Online refuge and this game looks very similar to it. I was also wondering if there is something like a buddy up system? Where a high level player will basically sponsor a low level new player and they both get rewards.

Have your launch plans changed now that they just announced T3 content will be in the game from the get go? Gold farming is much more rewarding at T3 so there is some incentive to get there quickly if you're looking to maximize efficiency. I'm still waiting for summoner and machinest to be added so I'll probably focus more on getting account wide collectables first.

Yeah, don't worry about rushing to end game. Focus on your account lvl and enjoy the game as much as possible. The t3 end is still just the beginning. So farming for cold shouldn't be the main reason to get there. Take the opportunity to figure out what to play and enjoy the other amazing thing about Lost Ark. Don't rush this t3 is not yet the true end game. We still have time

idk why people say to skip secondary quests i didnt play much only to lvl 20 to test the game on ru servers before launch and it seems like most of the secondaries at the start are near the main quests or right ontop of them is it only to push levels faster?

Those quest give negligible exp. Id check if they give good rewards and ill take it, otherwise I skip the sidequest.

it's a combination of minsinformation and people repeating things they heard and not experineced. keep in mind Vulkan point was to level quickly and in this case he's 100% right this is by far the best way from a speed prespecive. On the other hand the guy who mentioned the side quest give negligible EXP obviously read a really bad guide not explaining to him the long term negatives of skipping these quest. First off these quest can help towards completion of colletiables for many different things that can give you long term buffs for your account. So my advice from a player who actually plays the game is take your time and do side quest as well as do your lifeskilling. remeber once you get to 60 you won't have acess to all your skill points, you only get a set amount and then you will need to do other things to get those said points. Honestly it only going to add a couple of hours to your overall time to hit 60.

@@FervorGaming bruh you didnt read my second statement. Some side quest are worth taking, like sidequests that gives gold, skill potions or collectibles. Taking all side quests while levelling just makes leveling take longer.

Yes, if you want to lvl as fast as you can (which I wouldn't do by the way) you can skip most side quest. Like you said tho James, most of those quest are right on top of each other. So it doesn't hurt to take a little extra time to take care of those. Enjoying the game imo is better than rushing to end game. Even tho we are getting t3. It's not the true end game of t3.

if u try to just run the main quest all the way to 50, you will end up having no main story left and you will be level 49. it is recomended that you run main story untill 40 then also do side quests from 40 to 50.

@BlackBart Gaming yeah it changed so that you don't have to worry about doing a whole lot of side quest to get to 50. If you do the main quest you should be lvl 50 by the end. You may have to do one or two side quest if you're not 50 by the end of MSQ

Hi guys im looking for some advice. So im planning on maining a paladin and having a shadow hunter as an alt. I also kinda want to focus on the tradeskills and try to make some money on th AH. Would you recommend to level my tradeskills on the paladin or on the shadowhunter? As in is it more efficient to level your tradeskills on your main or is it the same as doing that on an alt(quick example: will i need to farm materials from end game group content that i will be doing anyways on my main or all materials can be accuaried via gathering and solo content)

Doesn't matter: you gather mats in open world and platinum fields(no enemy "farm" zone) so chose whoever you want.

@@felixsimon2 Nice. And how much mob clearing you usually have to do while gathering if you have to do any at all? And if u have to kill mobs how much do they scale relative to the value of the materials in the zone. For example in wow i had a gathering skill on an alt cuz it had higher mobility and aoe dmg than my main so it was easyier to gather on it. But once i ignored that alt for a few months and a new zone came in with new materials i would have had to gear up my alt so it wouldn’t get killed in the new zone if i accidentaly pulled more than 1 mob. And i didn’t have time to do that so i ended up giving up on that tradeskill completly.

@@akosrex open world areas are usually extremely easy, and i have never seen anyone die in it. If you have gear score to get into the zone, you are not going to die there. as for killing mobs... Each life skill tool has a random "affix", and one of them is "not getting interrupted while gathering" so just buy new tool again and again until you get that affix and then simply ignore the mobs smacking you while you are busy gathering.

Like Bart said it does have open world PvP, but not in a sense like BDO. Where you can flag up and kill anyone. Some areas are PvP/PK, but its usually set up to be that way. It's not just open everywhere on the map.

Also tip for everyone who played diablo or PoE. Dont play this game if you think its like ur game. Its not rly ARPG, its fucking MMO like WoW or FF14. Only cool thing about this game is PvP. Then its just grind, but not grind like in ur game ;)

Diablo grind is roughly rifts, grifts, and bounties rinse and repeat while praying to rngesus for better upgrades. Keep grinding grifts till its pretty much impossible to keep going. Idk what the grind is like in this game but it cant be worse than diablo.

It's a very old trope that should be abandoned. Not sure why some old devs are so hellbent on enforcing respec cost, it makes no sense. It doesn't benefit anyone, it's just annoying. Just like having to reapir your armor in Diablo2/3, it's a useless system that's been kept alive for no reason.

Yeah, I agree. I dont think he's actually done most of the true end game content. I think it mostly just cherry picked. Some of the info is cool, but for new players....its not too relevant. Especially the boat thing. You don't have to worry too much about your ships when sailing as a new player. Repairs on your ship aren't a major thing and making sure you get the perfect balance to sail through rough waters is not so tough if you got the right ship.
