I was really surprised Vulture had a lot of stories where he is treated as a sympathetic, yet dangerous rogue. I know everyone loves Kraven's Last Hunt, but honestly, if I got to write either of the Spider-Man titles back in the 70s or 80s, I actually think I may have used Kraven a lot, as his character had a lot of potential too that unfortunately was limited, sorta.

Yeah Vulture seems to be very overlooked, most people just jump to the conclusion that he is only interesting in Spider-Man Homecoming. Although I do find Kraven’s Last Hunt to be very overrated

Awesome video!!! Love this song you used too. Vulture isn't my favorite Spider-Man baddie but he does have some great designs like with the PS4 game and Spectacular. I enjoyed Michael Keaton in Homecoming. I think most people like him cause of how relatable and human his motivation feels.

I don’t care for how Homecoming’s take was written but I think Michael Keaton did an alright job in the role and he’s actually one of my favorite actors. I always wonder what Vulture would have been like in the Rami movies though.

@@tayojones9460 I wouldn't say he was a petty prick like Brock was in Spider-Man 3 for example. He comes off like Norman from Spider-Man 1 where he was a decent guy who gets screwed over and then becomes a criminal. And even when he is a criminal he's not a monster. He doesn't want to kill anyone and tries to do things with nobody around and gives Spider-Man multiple warnings to stay out of his way. Even with the knowledge of knowing Spider-Man's identity he keeps it to himself cause he doesn't want to ruin his life unlike want Mysterio does in far from home.

I def feel like venom should had been a 2 part thing like vulture and sandman for part one with Peter in the black suit and then for part two you bring in Venom so he's more fleshed out rather than a last min thing.

@@MichaelHarlan1999 Me too actually. I heard the story was that Vulture was originally planned to be the third villain in SM3 and they were going to get Ben Kingsley to play him. But then Rami had a hard time giving him a personal connection to Peter Parker and so he took Avi Arad's suggestion to use Venom instead. I do think Venom fits the themes of the movie better despite having some problems with the execution but it would have been cool to see Vulture in the series.

Freddy Kruger is Vulture, isn't that cool? 😁😁😁 Englund did a magnificent job voicing this character in Spectacular spider-man. I also liked Vulture in Ultimate spider-man, even though it's not really comic accurate, but it still was good. Great tribute, i love the song you used. It's actually one of my favorites.

Sometimes I want to see more faithful comic book adaptations but I can accept changes in certain adaptations if the story is good (Joker). I think most fans are too obsessed with accuracy and can come off as pompous assholes (professor geek).

I Love Vulture. I used to think he was a rubbish villain,but then I started reading more of his stories and I realised he was more complex than I thought. I prefer comic adrian to MCU Adrian. And Sabdman from Spidey 3 was far more sympathetic. If possible do you think you could make a tribute for Sandman in the future? No rush take your time.

You know if Spectacular Spider-man had continued i can see Vulture being the Leader of the New Sinister Six, with Kraven as his Right Hand (since Otto was back to Ravencroft) to destroy Oscorp but this time it'll be in charge by Menken. First Adrian will poison ocean. The combination of unknown radiation and its immersion in a deep ocean-dwelling bacteria turns one of the best employers at Oscorp MORRIS BENCH into HYDRO-MAN. Morris will blame Menken for what happened and he will join Sinister Six. Then Donald needs help because he got a lot of attacks and threats from Tooms and his team every day. Knowing that he can't defeat Sinister Six, but at the same time he doesn't want to give Oscorp to Harry, he will contact to the person, that him and Norman once tricked with Rhinos armies - Roderick Kingsley. After many requests and the return of Roderick's stolen money, Kingsley will eventually help him with one condition: Menken must help him to get rid of Hammerhead since he's now the BIG MAN OF CRIME, also Roderick demands to give him the powers that Norman had, GLOBULIN GREEN. And this is how Hobgoblin will be born. But nobody will know that Kingsley is Hobgoblin until season 4, because in season 3 Roderick will frame Ned Lee (kinda like what Norman did to Harry). I know there's so many BS in there, but it's just something i would've done. Again I'm not a show-runner, that's my theory of what could've been in Spectacular. What do you think?

Funnily enough I'm of the exact opposite viewpoint of you here. Always found Vulture uncompelling, enjoyed the movie's take, and adore Mysterio lol. The way I see MCU Toomes is that it STARTED with him just wanting to provide for his family, but it grew into both a hatred of the wealthy elite such as Stark that he saw as not caring if they cast aside the gruntwork as well as profit off their own destruction at the expense of the little guy, and compounded this with lying to himself that he needed this much income to support his family as an excuse to continue his vendetta, with some greed thrown in. This could explain why he decided not to turn in Peter at the end, he's sticking up for the little guy. As for Mysterio, I actually view him similarly to how you see Vulture. to a vrying degree among the incarnations, he's someone whose life passion and greatest achievements were always overlooked or given credit to others, alongside a deep rooted desire for acknowledgement and attention. All he wanted was to be recognized for his talents, and it grew even worse when Spiderman ruined his shoot and basically got him blacklisted from his career in the process. Thus he decided if he can't get fame and credit as a creator, then he would gain it by tearing down the man that ruined what little acclaim he was able to achieve. In the comics he spirals even further down, and currently is a bitter depressed old man that keeps getting threatened into becoming Mysterio again after retiring because he's lost everything and everyone he's ever cared about.

Personally I find Vulture to be really developed in the comics especially in stories like Funeral Arrangements where they show his relationships with his friends and family as well as his fear of death in his old age. I do see what you mean about the MCU take but ultimately I feel like the fact that he was using his family as an excuse to just make lots of money to be really uncompelling and it’s made even worse for me by some little things like the fact that his family is not shown at all until the end of the movie and they don’t show him struggling in poverty either before he becomes a villain. That is an interesting point about Mysterio and people do say they see him as being that but I honestly don’t remember that part of his character being shown that much in the comics or the adaptations, probably because they never seem to go that in depth into his origin except for like one story I believe. A lot of the time he feels like JUST a guy who wants attention. It’s why I still associate that much more with Vulture than him.

@@goblintributemaker2539 Yea, admittedly a lot of Mysterio's character is drawn from inference since most of his stories don't delve too deep. I do remember one story about his childhood involving his desire for attention stemming from major parental neglect (mother died, dad was a jackass who acted like Beck didn't exist and would insult him while acting like Quentin wasn't in the room and he was talking to someone else. Like "Gee *dead mom's name* Our son is really a loser huh?" and so he learned magic tricks to try and get attention from others which his dad scoffed at and insulted him more. Wasn't aware of that with Vulture though, I may have to look into it.

Well in my opinion Vulture has actually some of the favorite stories of any Spider-Man villain other than Green Goblin and Sandman which is why they’re my three favorites.

Awesome tribute. Vulture has to be one of my fav Spider-Man villains ever. He's just so interesting to me. Yes, i know his motivation lacks of interest however, that's not true as time goes on, you really feel bad for Adrian(can't say the same for the other Vultures). My least favorite Vultures -Spectacular,Homecoming,and Spider-Man 1967 lol. My favorite Vultures -Spider-Man PS4,Spider-Man 1994(despite not being Adrian). P.S. Can't wait for Molten Man. Oh dear Vulture, he´s still the one Spiderman rouge that I´ll never understand why he´s so popular. Don´t get me wrong he´s an interresting character and all, but I never found him all that interesting, even in the comics he was still portrayed as a character full of greed and revenge for the man that stole his work. True there is some sympathy with the character that he just wants to get the credit for the thing he worked his entire life for, but personally I never found that to be the most interesting motivation really. With that said however my oh my do I agree on the fact that the MCU Vulture is one of the worst things ever. I mean yeah I just mentioned that I´ve always found Vulture´s motivation to be a bit bland, but I´d take it anyday over what we got in that awful movie. Anyways, take your time till your finals are over, I may do myself to be honest, good job.

I don’t really think he’s that popular though, I think people only started to like him after Spider-Man Homecoming. Before that, he wasn’t really talked about that much. Personally, I feel that while his motivation isn’t amazing or anything, I actually find it to be a lot more interesting than a lot of the other Spider-Man villains. I mean can you even tell me what motivations Mysterio, Electro, Shocker, and (ungh) Carnage really have for being villains in the comics? It’s why I’ve come to appreciate Vulture a lot more.

Also did everyone forget the story where Vulture goes to apologise to may for killing her boyfriend? The man Toombs killed helped him when he was depressed and down on his luck and Adrian felt great guilt for killing the one man who showed him kindness and treated him with respect. Whenever people say Vulture is stupid abd does not understand why he is popular, I reccomend that story (the title of the story is Funeral Arrangements).

Well I honestly wish Spider-Man Homecoming was never made in the first place because it’s a pretty terrible movie. In fact I would rather get The Amazing Spider-Man 3. I’ll look it over when I have the chance. I think MCU Vulture was meant to be some kinda analogy for the working man or something rather than a faithful adaptation of the character which is why they put so little effort into his backstory.
