It just seems odd to me that every year these cases pop up even more during these 16 days. Men hold the power to inflict physical harm while women hold power to have you canceled altogether.. I hope that one day we get to a place, as humanity, where we don't abuse the power we have.

In my view, we don't have to look at these issues in isolation. As you have counted similar cases involving black South African men. We need to run deeper and see what are the common root causes of such crimes/ acts. We need some healing as black men. The law protects women and I can tell you now, black men you're on your own..
@Penuelism3 жыл бұрын
It's very important that we keep talking, so that the root causes can be clearly visible. From my side, it's colonization, capitalism, miseducation, toxic television, toxic social media, absent parents & lack of spaces where strong, positive male & female rolemodels are.
@noccym51093 жыл бұрын
Social media is on the side of the woman. Not the law. For the law to finally takes its course it normally requires multiple victims, invasive interrogations and still have a low conviction rate cause it one's word against the other. That said, it's not only black men.
@kaizerpursuits70863 жыл бұрын
Lorch, MacG and Given Mkhari even MarksMaponyane had criminal cases opened against them but there wasn't backlash like the others. Life is normal, they continue to influence in Sports, Entertainment and Business. I partially agree though, it always a case of if you're so and so fave, you'll survive the scandal. Even le Julius, there was also that 'frivolous' allegation by fellow MP, Boy 'Our Perfect Wedding' Mamabolo but it didn't stick same with Cereal as he was accused by Julius. I agree, let's wait for the story to unfold with more details as there can be a 360° turn like they always do.
@kpt_forever3 жыл бұрын
@@noccym5109 I partially agree with you except for the part of the law. These are talking points that social justice warriors use (usually the cancel culture squad) but they are not factual or accurate in reality. I am not at all saying that you are a part of them I just think they've propagated such talk that people start to believe it without fact/stat checking. There is no law that cannot be exercised or is against women and in terms of prosecution rates, each case will stand on its merits but by and large the advantage nowadays is predominantly on the woman's side. There was a time when it wasn't but we have honestly made enough progress that, in my opinion, the balance tips more on the woman's side. Any gent who gets accused is automatically presumed guilty well before due process.

I usually say we need to come together as man, do that we can learn how to support our partners, live with different genders, learn how to tolerate and basic DOs and DON'Ts in another's perspective because there's man who are able to ride the current wave with no issues. We owe it to our future generation to start building a foundation for them to learn and take over from. We need to forget about the past and look into the future. I feel some sense of responsibility to whatever is happening to us as man because tomorrow it'll definately be me in one form or another. I don't think there is an agenda against successful black men, I do think that women are just more vocal and less tolerant of abuse than before although its still not enough women, because they fear being judged or labeled. The reality is more women are killed through intimate partner violence in SA than in any other country in the world. For now I remain an objective observer let's hope the truth comes out. Rubbish. The husband of Black SA women is the Government and his Gynocentrict laws & values that has destroyed the Black family and made SA Black women the biggest single-mother population in the world. Average Black men are emasculated and told being manly / masculine is toxic. Our authority has been removed from the family, turning us into a matriachal society. Yet, the effiminate men that are raised by the single mothers are Friend-zoned by the women because biologically girls want a man (not another woman with a dick).
@bridgetkasi44142 жыл бұрын
@@ohlangeni a real man doesn't expect some outside entity to validate his authority or manliness nor does he exert control through voilence. He inspires it in a woman through his actions, his achievements, his tenderness and his abilities to be a genuine provider not just financially but also emotionally. A real man is a protector. The issue today is actually men like you that expect to be respected but they behave like victims blaming others for what they don't have in their lives.

@@bridgetkasi4414Females use the term "real men" to manipulate society/men to do what only benefits them. You never hear men saying "real women" do this. What is a real women or real men...bullshit. The rest of your drivel does not hold water. Black SA men are a formerly conquered group. The ruling men from Europe used Black women to spread Christianity, their European language, to remove African values and presently to aggressively push the anti-men form of Feminism that cast Black women as eternal victims of African men, African patriachy whereas European (and Indian) families remain very patriachal and successful while we are engulf with a society of single-mothers who are taught that they "do not need no men" because they "are strong and independent Black women" and of course the Government is there as the new husband.

Absolutely not fights happen. Majority of people who are married have probably thrown hands with each other at least once😹 can’t be calling everything abuse

I'm one of those woman who believe that, there is an agenda against our black brothers! Some women are brave enough to curse men like dogs, beat them and or smack them like abused kids. Acting like, life in the movies. Forgetting that men feel pain too, feel humiliation and will retaliate. When they eventually fight back we cry GBV. Or what's supposed to be. (VAW). It seems to me this GBV is one sided. How many men were killed by women? Are there no men who are physically and emotionally abused by their wives or girlfriends? Fathers denied access to their children. Fucked up! Having said that, I don't dispute the fact that there are abusive and evil men out there and that women are beginning to be more vocal and less tolerant of abuse than before. We all need thorough introspection! We as women must stop this shit of painting all men with one brush. We need to watch our behavior towards men, so that we can be able to determine why they "behave the way we think they do"! Every case is different! Our brothers are suffocating 🤞 Penuel my King🙌

Many black men are falsely accused, and thus, destroyed, by foul black women. But, in the same breath, many many women are victims of violence & other forms of abuse by foul men. Both groups need to be attended to and helped, without bashing collective groups.
