Hi Dr. Lock, I have a Key Tool EU version but am having difficulty cloning both remotes and chips with it. I live in US, do you know if I need the American version instead of EU. or am I doing something wrong. The 3 vehicles I have tried are, 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, 2013 Chevy Silveraldo, and 2009 Jeep Campass. I am new to this and not sure if I need any other equipment to clone these to vehicles and didn't want to buy other programmers. I am only looking for having extra remotes on hand. Thanks for any advice!

Hi, Yes you need OBD tool too, This will copy some keys, help you clone keys with security code, but you will need a tool to program the keys to the car. Some keys you can not clone, that's when you need to plug in with OBD - See our other videos for OBD programming, we will adding more was we go.. The VVDI clone tool is good. Im happy with it , and its my first choice for clone and ID46

Some key you can clone, Use VVDI to clone. OBD is for programming the key into the car so f you have a key you can not clone, you can program it into the car. But unless you are a locksmith, I would not do OBD. Its alot more money and problems, key copy and clone is quicker money and less problems

thank you for your reply,i will go for the Keyline BI106, i am beginner when it comes to coding chips, i want to buy the key line 884 mini cloning device to clone chips, i came across the x horse VVDI key tool remote key programmer,i saw it has an advantage that can generate remotes but also has the adavantage of cloning chips,but local supplier is telling me that the VVDI its a Chinese brand etc and does not clone all the chips,the VVDI with the ID48 software cost me half the price of the keyline 884 mini, i dont know much about this cloning chips etc,please can you advise me i will need both or which one, thanking you ,best regards.

Well with the 884 you get support, and if you are a beginner, support may be important. I would say pay the money, once you know what is what , you can save some money using the other tools.

Try this 1. Ensure drivers door is closed, key removed from ignition lock 2.Put key into ignition 3.remove and insert the master key 4 more times, on the last , leave it in. 4.Open the door 6 times 5.remove the key 6.Put new key into ignition 7.Wait 1 min 8. foot on brake & open and close drivers door 9. test If it dose not work, you are using the wrong key, you need to use a master key

I like this VVDI tool so far, Im still testing it , but find it good for beginners, it has a menu and tells you whats needed and what to do - Handy baby or CN900 is good too. For OBD its a tuff question to answer, Go with AD MVP it has support, best for beginners, so much to learn, Im still learning too. Support has helped me 2 times this year alreddy

Hi, I dont know, I have never used one, looks too good to be true, most likely it will be limited to only a few cars, you would be better off with T300 or Sbb, both are under $200 and do many cars, its a good place to start for under $200

I just updates it , I went to copy a ID46 the other day and it would not work :O said update, so I have the latest, but 2 updates above what I have are on the site, but would not work, so more updates on the way , and had a bad day because it would not work all of a sudden, keep you posted

Hi Dr. Lock I have a vvdi tool. I faced a problem when I'm trying to program remote control for my Hyundai Santa fe 2010, because my car is of Asia origin i chooseed asia Hyundai Santa fe cm from 2008 to 2010 frequency 433 and i installed it in the vvdi blank remote which is came with the vvdi tool package. But when i used launch x 431 as an obd2 to do code saving, the remote won't to accept programming in my car. Can you help me to solve the problem. Thank you

I had the same problem, I was told to look under the dash for the remote unit around the fuse box area, black box thingy, and look for a switch to learn remote. The 2010 I worked on did not have the switch, So I had to buy a cable from Advanced Diagnostics to get the remote to work and use a token on the MVP. I think the car will be the same as you have, the remote were 433 too , 2 or 3 button, hope that helps
