I got some and it didn’t stick at all even with heat

It goes down with heat, problem is it also comes off with heat, and not much. I wrapped some interior pieces in my car and the heat of the Florida sun made all the edges of the things I wrapped curl up, and look like shite. I’ve wrapped this one piece like 6 times, I swear if it curls up on me again!!!!

I've seen technique videos on here that show that if you do the edges correctly if they do shrink they curl under...

So far the vvivid stuff I've bought is not sticky at all. And when exposed to the elements doesn't stay put

Remember guys. Im sure a lot of you are installing during the winter in the cold. It wont stick. Have to wait for warmer weather are pre heat surface with heat gun for awhile

Which vinyl is this? The 3M 2080 that I am using can be peeled off, but not THAT easily.

I am gong to do a great first time diy wrap vid on my s13 Silvia. some things that I was worried about was having to pull hard to achieve adhesion. the heat activating will help me greatly!. I have a rocket bunny body kit. fibre glass isn't very strong.

@@escapedgoat5865 I got most of the car done. I need to do the roof and one door. There is a small crease on L and R door and it is tough to get it to stick. I had to pin hole one spot. The duck bill spoiler was my very first piece I gotta tiny imperfection but managed to wrap pretty well. But the bumpers I am still a little worried about doing in spring. I’ll have a vid made by then.

I've used many and the color I got was the TACKIEST I've ever used! your tack reducer was out of stock so I used RapidTac no help at all.

i got this vinyl and its to sticky for my car, am i doing something wrong? wen i apply it with no heat and peel it back off to reposition it all the glue stays on my car and ruins everything. any1 else experience this?

why is your vivid+ plus gloss black so hard to lift when glassing? I am fighting the film so much to lift that it over stretches the film instead of easily lifitng.

@@marblesrichard it's a fairly time-consuming process to get it just right if you haven't done it before. I tested several application methods with the tack producer, using my hood as a test spot until I found the best technique for applying just the right amount without overdoing it

Just wrapped a 2018 Colorado with the Black Stealth Camo. Lots of lifting and peeling of edges and bubbling in the middle at very lightly stretched places and shallow contours. I am not impressed at all. Love the look, but from an installer's standpoint this stuff is not user friendly. I had to basically wrap with a torch in my hand, and too much flame glosses out the surface finish. I post heated everything with a heat gun, and am still having edge lifting when the sun hits it. I've been wrapping with Avery and 3M wrap vinyl for 10 years, everything from motorcycle helmets to human cannons. I don't like Vivvid. I can say that I have not worked with any of their other films, so maybe other models have more adhesive tac, but I also bought a roll of the Indestructible wrap, and the adhesive seems even less tacky. I'm pretty sure it's not going to hug any curves. Wish me luck.

good luck man, their adhesive is pure sh1t. All their colors are same sht adhesive. If you can still return it, I would. Before you lose money and botch a car with it. What sucks is that their vinyl is the best I have seen, and thick too, which is great for my application, but its like a car without wheels, because adhesive is such junkt hat it renders the great vinyl useless

keep panicking, because the heat does nothing to this junk adhesive. Trust me, I tried like 15 different vvivid vinyls and they are also super inconsistent, meaning different colors come with different adhesives even.

@escapedgoat5865 return it if you still can, and use avery. Its thinner, much easier to conform. The vinyl material itself isnt as great, but at least it has a reliable adhesive.

That is not vvivid vinyl at all seriously any body who knows this stuff can tell, vvivd wrap is crazy sticky

I just got some and I'm freaking out how its not very sticky. It actually wants to come off the carrier sheet too easily. I really hope it sticks better once it's heated

Lol no it isn't. I've worked with chomes, holographic and carbons from vvivid. None of them were sticky. They all peel off with ease after finishing a panel with heat.

Your matte metallic white is absolute junk, and no heat helps to activate that terrible glue backing. And many other colors are the same, HEAT DOES NOTHING to that junk adhesive. I like your vinyls and colors and the fact that they are thick, boy this is the worst adhesive I have ever experienced in my life, including $1 vinyls. Just junk/
