This is my first attempt to record Queen's song. Freddie Mercury is my favorite rock singer and one of the main influencers. I've watched the movie about him 8 or 10 times in a row. Freddie is not just an idol for me, he is part of my life. Some people even say that I look a bit as Freddie :). I've dreamed of recording this cover for a long time. I didn't try to sing better than Freddie and Queen, I strived to be myself. I know that this cover is not perfect yet but we've still decided to publish it. If you like it, I'll try to record as many as possible covers of Queen's songs.

Victory, it was the absolutely right decision to release your first Queen cover! You classify it as not perfect on your scale, but other singer require 1000 attempts and can never reach the quality of your first attempt. You hit every note in this difficult song! This is amazing, Victory! Covering ANY Queen song is a challenge. This may be the most difficult song ever written to cover, and you did a fantastic job with Freddies part in the section you sang for us. It was probably wise to finish where you did, as the operatic section is practically impossible to sing without a full range of voices and a huge amount of multi-tracking. I believe Dr Brian May has said that on the original master, they ran the tape through the recorder so many times to get all four of their voices recorded in enough layers that the tape was transparent!

@@VVVizhanska You demonstrate wisdom well beyond your years - nobody can fully emulate Freddie, at least in this song, he was simply one of a kind, so singing it as yourself was a very good decision, and gave an excellent result. I've cringed at many attempts to sing it in Freddie's unique style, by some very experienced vocalists who should have known better than to try. By singing it your way, in your own voice instead of trying to copy him, and just letting the feeling of the song flow, you actually sounded more like Freddie than most of those who try to copy him deliberately. I think you could do an outstanding job with some of Queen's other material with fewer harmonies - you have the range and the right timbre in your voice to do so. The one that leaps into my mind is "Who Wants To Live Forever".

Great work, Victory! Have you ever considered covering Led Zeppelin or Boston? Those are two bands who have very talented singers that you could potentially cover. They hit really high notes, but that doesn't seem to get in your way at all. Keep up the great content!

This is a beautiful song choice and you did a fantastic job. KZbin SUBSCRIBERS how about checking out Victory's PATREON and considering supporting her music career.
