Great video! Did you make an adjustment video? I bought a car that had a narrowed beam in it and it’s bottomed out so I’m trying to understand how to bring it back up

Im looking for the same thing!! I have this on my 67 beetle but looking for a video to show me how to adjust lower - or a shop in the San Fernando Valley that specializes in this. Did u find anything??

Good video Max. Tell me, what would the reason be for being able to install three of the four Trading arms without any problem whatsoever and then the fourth just will not fit? It’s almost as if the internal diameter of the recess in the beam is too small, and that thepolyurethane bushes are stopping the Trading arm from driving in. It’s one of your beams and it works lovely, but I am absolutely stumped on this. I’ve lost three weekends trying to figure it out!
@eva_resto8 ай бұрын
Hey man! Sounds like a pain… I do have some idea what it could be though and I’ve experienced it a lot! Have you checked the arm for straightness? I’ve had a load of bent ones in the past…. They’re hard to spot but literally won’t fit for anything. I would suggest trying the other side arm in the side you’re having trouble with. If it fits in like you’d expect, then you have an issue with the arm and not the beam… If you get stuck, drop me an email please Eva_resto@outlook.com Cheers

Where did you buy the narrow 4" torison leaves?
@wildbill56703 жыл бұрын
Why put a narrow front end in? Is it to make the car easier to flip over?

Narrowing the beam let’s you fit wider tires inside the fender wells or just make it look cool

Really struggling with my beam trying to get leaves back through, round them and all that, but had to be hammered back through. And what’s the best option for an adjuster that’s already cross threaded? Drill out and retap? Mine was cross threaded when I bought it and trying to fix it now 😩
@Mryiyo209.2 жыл бұрын
I Just put some thru rods an air shocks i just narrow my beam 4inches an put Monroe air shocks plummed into an air tank valves an compressor tires tuck in nice.

Think greasing the torsion arms then th nipples should be fine.
@TheTinglishLanguage3 жыл бұрын
@@GT.Bugger hey smart guy I did. But they usually rub the leaves down with grease. That’s what I was talking about
@GT.Bugger3 жыл бұрын
@@TheTinglishLanguage filling the beam via the grease nipples does pretty much the same job.
