They were doing 1/8 mile races at the beginning of the day to weed out the slower ones.

Negative, it shows the time on the score board at the end of the track just like at any other drag strip at 1:31, but you have to take into account that this is only an 1/8th mile race. I wasn't even born for another year when this was recorded, and this took place almost 24 years ago. If this was 43 years ago there's no one that some of the things seen in this video would have even existed.
