Hello I have a stock ecu efi bug which I put a small turbo on - it starts building boost at 1600 rpm and starts to actually making power at maybe 2300 but when reaching 3000 and boost is building up 7 psi it starts to knock- I already put larger injectors and not sure what to do with timing - any help will be greatly appreciated

What octane level are you using? What timing controller are you using? If it starts detonation at 7psi I would start pulling timing at 5psi of boost. 1 degree of timing for 1 pound of boost.

Why do you run a sump for more oil do you have to wen you go tb . ..

More oil. Highly recommend for any VW going over 5000 rpm’s. The high rpm’s can suck the stock oil sump dry. Plus the engine oil goes through the turbo and the turbo generates a lot of heat so it breaks down the oil faster. Having more oil also helps with that.

How do you activate the 2-step ?

2step is activated buy a ground cable off of the harness from the black box. I put a push button on it and is activated whenever you need it.

I’ve been trying to take the readings off the laptop from KPA, I have a cheap boost gauge and I don’t believe it reads accurately.

@@eloymartinez9970 that’s nice!! I still haven’t dyno’d mine yet. You should do single hi rev springs, and try out some race gas. You’ll be able to see more boost.

It sounds like it’s struggling a bit low down, it seems to clear up higher in the revs though. What’s it like to drive on the street is it jerky pulling off and at slow speeds?

It’s not now but it was jerky at first. Timing has been fixed and now drives great!
