VW Caddy 2.0 L Tdi 102 bhp SERVICE, DIY CABIN FILTER CHANGE

I thought I would do a vid on this Vw caddy mk4 model as there are no vids I could see on youtube to service the items shown in one vid .
I have decided to service my work caddy myself this time as Vw wanted nearly £300 to do this with the fuel filter change {fuel filter can go on to 100k miles}.
4.6 L of engine oil (long life mk3 oil is 5W-30) is required to refill the engine after draining on a 2.0 TDI MK4 CADDY Bluemotoin manual gear box.
Be sure to double chock the rear wheels when using ramps.

Hi Jim, good video and my mate who is a mechanic said you don't need to use the small oil ring on filter .

Yeah I still managed to loose a screw on this model.... My dad had a auto garage when I was younger so I learnt a lot from him...and other family who are Vw enthustiasts... Thanks Anthony...

Here i also got quoted like, 280 euro's for a simple oil service, i responded, does the oil contain gold? because 5l of castrol oil costs 40 euro's and the labour is like 30 til 45 minutes tops.. I got back that these are standard prices and if i do it myself the factory warranty will expire.. Like what? like my work will be any different that the mechanic at VW.. it's really stupid and expensive..

Yeah the 3rd service I should of had at VW van center would of cost £370 with the added fuel filter change which is not required anyway ..( I did 245k on my old vw passat with the orignal fuel filter). All my geniuen Vw service parts and oil cost just over £50 for the service in this vid. I inquired about the warranty and it is stil valid even if its not serviced at VW. Take care jim. (U.k)

The little rubber o ring is for the 13 mm insert in the middle of the 32mm

Hi , Sorry I did not mention that I pressed the ok button on my multi function steering wheel. If you do not have a multi function steering wheel you will have to press the corresponding button on the instrument stork for the cruise control or instrument buttons on the tacho clock area. Thanks...👍

The filter change is not required in my books until well over 100k My old Passat did 240k on it's original VW fuel filter.
